Hi lovely ladies, looking for some help please.

So I have been doing my ovulation test strips daily and they've gradually got darker. Yesterday mid morning I got a positive test, both lines were as dark as each other but then last night I got a peak result with the test line being much stronger than the control line.
I have done another test this afternoon and it is also peak so what day would I assume ovulation would be. I usually assume it is the day after my peak result but with having another peak today I'm not sure.

My app is telling me ovulation is today after putting both peak results in.

So my question is which peak result do I go by? Last nights and assume ovulation is today or today's peak and assume ovulation is tomorrow?

Any help would be muchly appreciated 🙏 😊 x

I can’t help I’m afraid as I’m new to this, but commenting so I get notified of any responses :) I’m in a similar position.

Oh bless you, frustrating isn't it 😆 I've never had a problem with ovulation tests but I normally get my peak in the morning and assume next day is ovulation as my tests have gone lighter so not sure what to think 🤔 x

You really can’t know for sure it’s about a day or two after a positive. Last cycle I ovulated about 40 hours after my peak and this cycle I ovulated about 24 hours after. Only difference was that this month I had higher readings the day before a peak.

glasspaw · 14/06/2023 15:20

@emmatcc1 this is probably a daft question but how do you know when you ovulated?

emmatcc1 · 14/06/2023 15:22

@glasspaw I have been checking my cervix for about 6 months now and can notice the difference when it’s closed or open and mine closes very soon after I ovulate.

glasspaw · 14/06/2023 15:23

@emmatcc1 ah ok. I definitely am not that in tune with my own body yet 😅 thanks!

emmatcc1 · 14/06/2023 15:23

And also my cervical mucus changes to creamy very soon as well.

emmatcc1 · 14/06/2023 15:24

@glasspaw How long have you been trying for?

glasspaw · 14/06/2023 15:31

I’ve been cycle tracking for a little while but only started LH & BBT this month when we decided to actively try for DC2. So I’m just trying to learn as much as I can about it really :) (we didn’t do any of this first time round)

I think you’ll get a hang of it pretty quickly.First month is the hardest not knowing what everything means.

cover all bases and dtd today, tomorrow and the next day i’d say 😅

I know I just like to have a countdown (or up) kind of thing for my dpo 😅 which only is ever a rough idea as you never truly know when you've ovulated unless bbt charting, which I don't. Thankyou for your reply though! X

This is what I'm going to do. Covered yesterday and will continue the next 3 days to be sure. My husbands going to be happy man, never any complaining from him 😅 I'll want to sleep through the tww. It's all just confused me as it's always been straight forward for me with a peak and then a decline on my tests so wasn't to sure about this as to whether im in my tww tomorrow or it being ovulation day 🤔 thankyou for your reply x
