If you have a 10 day luteal phase will a test be reliable on the day AF is due?

or should you wait to 14 days DPO like a person with a normal length luteal phase?

not completely reliable ... but should work

so if a negative test again 3 days later

but if a positive you are pregnant

hope you get the result you want

thanks

just seems odd that the instructions do not address when the test will be effective if you have an unusual length cycle

presumably a test requires a certain level of HCG to detect pregnancy, and a person with a short luteal phase will not have as much time to build up that hormone by the day her AF is due

am rambling now, clearly i am bored tonight (won't test yet).

but 10 days luteal phase is not unusual, in fact it is the given baseline at which it is possible to conceive

I personally would test tbh .. my 'not completely reliable' is just cos it's first day of missed period so the 3 days gives you leeway of certainty
