Are clear blue tests accurate

Hi, can someone please advise on the accuracy of clear blue tests?

I have been diagnosed with PCOS approx 6 months ago and do not have regular periods. I have not been on contraception whilst this has been investigated.

I have a long term partner and whilst we are not trying I test occasionally as my periods are all over the place.

I took a digital clear blue test this morning which said "pregnant 1-2" I understand if correct, it is more likely 4 weeks. However, I have taken 2 non digital clear blue tests which are negative.

I am not sure which tests to go by is there a chance the first test is wrong?

My last period was 21st March but it is very normal for me to only have 3/4 periods a year and i did not have a period at all whilst on contraception.

Thank you

Was the digital done using FMU & the two non digital ones dipped in the same urine, or were they used on later samples, after you had already been drinking?

Hi,

The digital was the first urine sample of the day and the second and third were two separate urine samples in the afternoon, after drinking water and coffee

Thank you

It's still really early so that's why you're getting a positive withh morning wee ans negative with afternoon wee

Highly unlikely to be a false positive

Not sure if this is good or bad news but congratulations if it's good 😊

i think first one was correct as more hcg in urine and other 2 are false negatives. maybe get one last test and do a few hours wee hold but i’d trust the digital

Hi, I just found out I was pregnant yesterday confirming 1-2 weeks on a digital, but on Sunday I did a normal clear blue like you and it was negative, maybe digitals are a bit better at detection xx (from my last period I work out at 3 weeks pregnant as would be due on this weekend)

Aquarius90 · 13/06/2023 16:53

Sorry forgot to say all tests I did weren't with morning urine just normal afternoon urine with no 4 hour holds xx

I have just done another digital because I’d really like to just know, but this has shown as negative. I guess I just need to wait to do it again in the morning but I’m really thrown off by the results and not sure what to think
