What does it feel like?

I've had a couple of bouts of strong sharp pains in my lower abdomen today, according to Flo (I know not necessarily accurate) I'd be due to ovulate tomorrow so now wondering if that's what I'm feeling!

Both times it came on suddenly and then lasted less than 30 seconds and then went away suddenly.

@Hotmalibu94 I feel it and thats exactly how it is sharp shooting pains. it never lasts long but long enough for me to notice it

good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻♥️

Thank you! I hope it is, not long off birth control and I'm not really noticing much in the way of like EWCM so wasn't sure if I was anovulatory last month (according to natural cycles that's the case!)
Fingers crossed!

@Hotmalibu94 if it doesn’t work this month (and I hope it does) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 get ovulation sticks from Amazon they will help you pin point when your ovulating and makes it easier to track ♥️ x

This thread caught my attention as I am currently experiencing it at the minute. Mine lasts for hours sometimes (like today) most of the day, and is always pain only on one side ,(the left this cycle 🙂) I also get a feeling of needing the loo every time with it (i don't need the loo just that feeling lol)

That's a great sign if you have ovulation pain, and I read that when you get that pain, I think it's fluid rupturing just before the egg does and so when you get that pain, you should ovulate about 24 hours after. 🙂

Hotmalibu94 · 13/06/2023 07:35

@Unicorn2023 thanks for that! :)

@Ladyinpink1 thanks for sharing your experience! Im hoping that's what it was, I also felt a little sick in the morning too and didn't realise it could be linked to that!
Also my HR according to my Garmin has been higher the last few days 😂 reading all the signs and staying hopeful 🤞

This is CD 12 and we DTD on CD6, CD9 and today so hopefully it's enough though not as much as I'd have liked 😅

@Hotmalibu94 That sounds like you are covering things well.

we dtd last night and Sun night and hopefully tonight if we can find the energy 😂 My bbt hasn't risen yet so def ov today and if it rises in the morning then tomorrow should be 1dpo .... for both of us I think? Hoping for positive results! 🙂

Have you been ttc for long? I feel so calm and normal first half then after ovulation I can think of nothing else lol. Going to "try" to stay chilled this cycle

Ladyinpink1 · 13/06/2023 07:51

Also, I just Googled Garmin as I haven't heard of it lol. Is it a watch that you wear to help ttc?

gotthearse · 13/06/2023 08:04

I bought some ovulation pee tests on line when ttc. They weren't pricey if you hunt about and dont worry about having the fancy ones. They aren't completely foolproof, but did show me I didn't ovulate until day 19, which helped with dtd timing and then dating the pregnancy. Might be worth a go.

Malificent1 · 13/06/2023 08:06

Short and sharp pain. It swaps sides most months.

Good luck!

Hotmalibu94 · 13/06/2023 09:17

@Ladyinpink1 hopefully! 🤞
Yeah I'm estimating tomorrow as 1DPO. This is first month TTC and I already feel crazy 😂
We were using natural cycles to prevent for 2 months after coming off the pill and my BBT was a bit all over the place to be honest, I couldn't really pinpoint anything!
Garmin is just my smart watch but it does track heart rate and this morning when I was researching ovulation it said your HR can be higher around that time and it actually is 😅

I get really bad ovulation pain most months. Yet the month I conceived I didn't get any pain so I thought it wouldn't happen that month! So pain/no pain does not necessarily correlate with successful conception. Good luck!
