Ovulation test strip help

Hi everyone

I’m using OPK strips for the first time this month and I’m worried I missed my peak now I’m looking at the strips altogether. Day 10PM looks darker than the others in comparison. When I looked at it on its own it still seemed negative though.

for those of you who are way more used to reading these, what do you reckon?

Hi OP

Maybe you have missed your peak but I'd say keep testing - are the numbers written on the test the day of your cycle? If so I'd keep testing as day 11 is fairly early to ovulate I think? I learnt through starting these strips that I was ovulating much later than I thought - on day 19 /20 or later sometimes (sometimes earlier than this).

It looks like they're getting darker which in my experience means levels are rising but they're not as dark as mine have ever been during my peak - they go the same colour or darker than the control line so I'd say you've either missed your peak or it hasn't arrived yet...

I think you should keep testing and also look out for other signs as well - egg white cervical mucus is a big sign that ovulation is close!
Good luck x

Thank you @FlyBirdieFly , that’s really helpful. Yeah the text is The CD, I suspected based on my cycle length and when I conceived my first that I was ovulating around CD 14/15 but I just had a bit of a panic when I laid them out like this 😅

I’ve seen that the CB digis are on sale at the moment so I have ordered some to try alongside the strips while I get used to what I’m looking for, then I’ll go back to cheapies I think!

Oh keep tracking, most people wouldn't ovulate until day 14 onwards, even early ovulation isn't usually until day 12ish. Even after you think you get your peak, keep testing to make sure it goes back down. I use the Premom app and upload pictures, it gives you a ratio so easier to spot the changes than using the naked eye.

@BudgetBuster that sounds good. I’m using Flo and it’s a bit pants. I’ll check it out :)

I like flow for tracking symptoms, but it's way far off predicting ovulation for me.

@BudgetBuster ooh Premom is way easier to read! Thanks!
