Hello ladies!

just needed some help and peace of mind with this one.

I got my first faint positive 7 days before my period, and right away I got blood work which showed hcg at 6. 48 hours later it showed at 35.. I was happy but kind of concerned, my blood work today showed that it jumped from 35 to 101 in 48 hours.. is this good jumps? anyone else had low hcg in the beginning?

Thank you so much!!

I believe they are good jumps, yes! It needs to double, as far as I know and yours is more than double! Wishing you best of luck!

SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 19:34

More than doubling is amazing. 😊

my first hcg was only 98.7 and im back tomorrow for more bloods so i would say that is better than mine! when the nurse rang she said mine was low but probably because its an early pregnancy.. i have only just got 2-3 weeks today(16dpo) on a digital 6 days after my first digital at 1-2 ! x

@ttcnads is mine really op? I'm between 4&5 weeks and nurse didn't sound too positive.. yours seem really good!! x

Cubsandmiel · 10/06/2023 22:56

With my first, I had IVF and the clinic called me and said it was positive but low - 16! They gave me steroids and the next day it had already doubled and continued to double nicely. The result is 6’ and smells a bit, and has just sent me a text saying “mum feed me, do it now. Also can I go to Josh’s tomorrow.”

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 11/06/2023 09:22

@Cubsandmiel haha love that response 🤣 and thankyou for sharing and giving me some insight 😊 were they concerned then baby wasn't going to be viable then with your hcg been only 16?

ttcnads · 11/06/2023 13:29

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX well its doubling, try and get a second opinion!!

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX @Cubsandmiel haha!!! yeah almost same thing here, my hcg was at 6 to 35 and doctor told me its low and I was freaking out that day.. everything requires time and patience, every body is different!!

Sounds great that your levels are doubling and more!
Can I ask, was this through nhs? I'd love to be able to check levels if I fall pregnant again after having a mc in March but I'm assuming this isn't necessarily avaliable to everyone

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 11/06/2023 14:38

@ttcnads yeah I suppose so and it's true that everybody is different just think its my anxiety over the whole situation and the fact I've lost 3 before
@Hankthehonk and yes it was through the nhs as I have had pain in left side and brown watery discharge x

Hankthehonk · 11/06/2023 21:47

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I'm sorry for your previous losses and the issues you've been having, it's really good to hear that the NHS are giving you extra tests to track this pregnancy closely. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy
