What would you define at a light flow, Medium flow and heavy flow? For example how much of the tampon would you expect to be filled if you were wearing it 5 hours then change.

Does spotting before period class as day 1 of the cycle?

Sorry I'm just started to track my cycles and I've got nobody else to ask these questions...

If you're ttc I would stop using tampons. If you're tracking then no bother! I would say a heavy bleed for me would be changing the normal tampons every 2 hours max, medium bleed maybe about 4 hours and a light I could leave in all day and it would still not be done (not that I did 😂).

Day 1 of your cycle is your first day of full flow. Spotting does not count and if it does not stop then maybe look into why you spot. It is normal for a lot but again if you're ttc then it may show a luteal phase issue.

I find flo is really good for tracking cycles. You can track your baseline body temp if you wanted to take it up a level but it's quite specific and requires a a good routine.

I would also track your cervical mucus which should be cream after period and slowly get to egg white and really elastic during ovulation then it will change to less elastic and potentially back to creamy after ovulation. If you do not notice this then you may need to make sure you're having enough water and hormones are balance.
