Repeated faint positives

Morning everyone!
So I have been struggling with infertility for 5 years now and have in the last 12 months suddenly been able to get pregnant, but all have been unsuccessful... which has left me in a worried state of mind. 2 have been ectopic needing surgeries.
My periods have become irregular but on Friday I had a positive test result. Although it quite weak in colour. I waited three days and tested again with two different brands and it hasn't got any darker. I never had this with any of my previous pregnancies and losses, they were all quite bold.
Has anyone experienced this?

Those are actually quite dark for those sorts of tests. What DPO do you believe you are? I'd say a tentative congratulations is in order!

I'm not totally sure but I think I'm about 5 days after my period was due... I don't know the lingo Grin

I’ve been having repeated faint positives but this morning it was a bit darker. Yours do not look faint to me :) you can see mine in this thread for comparison

It’s taken a week to start to get as dark as your lines.

I think it's the lack of progression that worried me, yours are getting darker as the days go on. I'll try and be patient and wait a few more days Smile

Congratulations with yours

I wouldn't class those as faint lines. They look quite good for where you think you are in your cycle. Some tests don't get a stronger line - also you have 2 different types of tests so you cannot compare those two. I have also had a number of losses in the last year, and what I would recommend is step away from the tests! Get in touch with your GP / EPU to arrange an early scan. No amount of peeing on a stick now will change the outcome of your pregnancy now, but will instead keep you constantly thinking about the whatifs.

I do need to step away from the tests! You're right! The long bank holiday hasn't helped with my mind wandering.
I will hopefully get an early scan arranged asap

EPU should most definitely give you an early scan as you have suffered 2 ectopic pregnancies. Had one myself in January and it's so difficult. You are one strong lady! Push for the scan as soon as is appropriate (around 6 weeks is it?)

Kphil1 · 30/05/2023 12:17

I caved and did one more test this morning and it looked darker!
I have made an appointment at the EPU for in a weeks time... so fingers crossed. I'll update you. Thanks for all your comforting advice x

Best wishes - keep us updated @Kphil1

So I had a scan today and they saw the gestational sac with a tiny fetal pole! It feels slightly surreal as I have never had a 'happy' scan before. I still have no nausea but my boobs are very sore and I feel tired and bloated.
I will be given a reassurance scan in another three weeks as I have a some MMC in the past which still gives me a little anxiety.
BUT so far so good Smile

What a great update! Wishing you all the best for your pregnancy and hope your next scan is just as positive!

Naomi2023 · 07/06/2023 14:51

Just read through your thread op and im so happy for you! Congratulations, you deserve this. I had an ectopic a few months back and am now allowed to continue ttc so this gives me hope after worrying of not being able to have a healthy pregnancy. 🥰
