Sex just before midnight of peak day 2

Hi all,

I got my peak on a clearblue fertility monitor on Saturday. It said Saturday and Sunday were my peak days. It took a while for my partner to ejaculate on Sunday night… it was just before midnight. Do you think we were too late? We also had sex after midnight on Thursday and on Tuesday night. We have been trying for just over a year and we had a missed miscarriage in December. My husband is 42 and I am nearly 41, we have a nearly 3 year old daughter.

I feel so sad that our timings may have been totally wrong this cycle 😔

I think you're in with a good chance as you've dtd throughout your fertile cycle. Sperm can live for up to 5 days remember!
We didn't dtd the day of my peak or day of ovulation, we only managed it the day before the peak and that worked as I got my bfp a few days ago!

I have been having acupuncture and I am scheduled for this Friday but I cancelled it today because I’m so sure our timing is out. I have been really obsessed the last few days with getting pregnant again and I wanted us to dtd on Sat and Sun night. On Sat my husband just couldn’t do it, I felt so bad for him because it’s so much pressure. I cried as well, which is bad of me. He struggled last night, too, which is why we finally ended up finishing around midnight.

This cycle I have been taking extra supplements and trying to eat better, although the last two days haven’t been the best because it’s the weekend and it’s a bank holiday. I just thought we’d nail it this time with the extra effort, but I’m not hopeful due to the times on the clock when we did it.

But… like you have proved… it doesn’t have to be peak days.

What happened from this?
I am in the same shoes. We DTD 4 days before I got my peak and the day before. We tried yesterday on my second peak day and on peak day as well and my husband just couldn't do it. It been too much this week. Did you get pregnant ?
