Cyclogest when TTC

Hi everyone,

I have low progesterone and have been prescribed Cyclogest to take from 1 DPO. This was strict instruction as if taken too early, it will disrupt ovulation but at the same time, I can't leave it too late due to my low levels of progesterone.

This might be a stupid question but I just want to be sure. I use the Clearblue OPK and also track discharge. I think ovulation is expected to take place 24-48 hours after the "peak". So does it make sense to start taking Cyclogest 2 days after my LH surge on the OPK, or is fertile discharge a more concrete sign (and if so, would that mean just the next day?).

Any advice would be great, thank you!

(And any success stories on using Cyclogest when ttc are also very welcome! 😃)

Hi it is so confusing isn’t it? I didn’t have the exact same instructions but didn’t want to read and run. I had to take it from ‘mid cycle’ cycle day 20. On my successful cycle I didn’t actually ovulate until yes you guessed it cd20! So I chose to wait until I had the faintest line at 8dpo. I’m now 20 weeks pregnant. If I were you I would keep testing after your peak to see the lines go down and then take it so yes around 2/3 days afterwards. Are you on aspirin too? Wishing you all the best 🤞🏼

@Amyjones86 thank you for the reply!! I'll do that then, it's all so confusing.

No I'm not on aspirin, it was recommended that I take it for 12 weeks if I become pregnant but was never advised when ttc. Did you take that alongside Cyclogest or every day of your cycle?

Also, congratulations!! 👏🏻
