Hello everyone I’d like to know if there’s any success stories with Vfl at 13/14dpo? We’ve been trying for 2 years and this is our first “positive” so I’m hoping the baby sticks! I’m taking progesterone too so hopefully it does. 🤞

Hey, with my 1st I got positive 16/17 dpo, if that's any consolation. Maybe try again tomorrow morning the first wee to get a definitive answer? I can see the faint line in the right hand side, fingers crossed for you x

Thank you so much! I’m really worried on seeing it become negative, it was darker this morning than yesterday so hopefully it’s darker tomorrow!

I’m a day late so I was hoping my lines would be darker. I tested again this morning with a clear blue and it was still so faint. I’m thinking it’s a chemical sadly.

Don't be disheartened I think these next few days are crucial, I got 2 negatives before I tested positive, I think see how you fair in terms of your period etc. All the best xx

I'm not an early tester. My first pregnancy I tested at 14dpo and my positive was quite a squinter! Resulted in my DS. Second pregnancy tested at 15dpo and again, pretty faint. Unfortunately was a MMC at 12wks but don't relate that in any way to the faint test at 15dpo.

I would say there's nothing wrong with your tests. See how they progress in a couple of days 😊

Pitstop1986 · 30/05/2023 13:17

I had a squinter - to the point that I nearly threw the test away thinking that it was negative at 12dpo. Still got squinters for a couple of days and finally got something that looked like an actual line at 15/16 dpo.

I'd test again in a day or two and see if you get any line progression. Good luck!

@Marieegg How faint or strong your line is isn't what matters, as long as the hgc is rising (roughly doubling every 48 hours).

We all have different base levels of hcg in our system (between 1 and 5), and implantation can happen from 6dpo to 12dpo, so there is a very wide range of when a bfp will show. Its individual to each woman and each pregnancy.

If you're a late implanter and/or have low base hcg levels, it can take longer for a bfp to show for you. up to 17dpo to even show a faint positive on a frer if you implant on 12dpo and have a base hcg of 1 .

Honestly, the line strength at this stage is totally individual to each person, some will have super strong positives, some faint positives, and some bfn (despite being pregnant). Retake the test after 48 hours, as long as it's darker, there's likely nothing to worry about.

Thank you guys so much! This has made me feel so much better no matter what happens!

@Marieegg good luck! Keep us posted 😊

I think I’m out, it’s still so light. I’m now 16/17 DPO and they’re still so light. I stopped the progesterone suppositories so going to wait for AF. I’ve had vvfl since 12/13DPO.

Not sure if this is a good sign. Vfl at 13/14dpo.
