Lines not progressing

Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has any experience with their lines stalling?

I'm apparently 6+1 weeks pregnant today but my clearblue digital is saying 1-2 weeks (I know that is counted from conception).
I already got a 1-2 on the 16th and it moved up to 2-3 on the 22nd but now is back to 1-2.
I have a strong positive on a frer but every one I have took this week has looked the same.

I don't think it's the hook effect because I tried diluting when I tested with cheapies but the line looked a bit fainter.

I know I sound crazy taking all these tests but I just have no real symptoms and by this stage in my last pregnancy I had quite bad sickness.

The doctor isn't too fussed since I have a positive test and no pain or bleeding.
I have had a bit of brown spotting but nothing major.

I have an early scan booked for when I should be 8 weeks but I don't think I'll even make it that far 😞

Hi lovely. No experience of this but completely get why you're feeling anxious. I have heard that those clearblues can be a bit dodgy, however I can see why you'd be worried if it had gone up to 2-3 and then back down. I'm sorry I can't wave a magic wand and take your worry away. All I can say, is that I had a MMC last month and if it happens, if it's that... You are stronger than you think you are and you will cope. It's shit and you feel crap for a while, but you get through it. Sorry if thats the wrong thing to say - I really hope it's not the case and that everything is progressing well. But, if the worst happens, you'll be ok. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes. Keep me posted if you want to. 💕

@SnookyPook Aww thank you for the lovely reply ❤️
To be honest I am expecting the worst, I just really hate being in limbo and not knowing where I stand. I just wish I'd either start bleeding or get scanned earlier to confirm it's not viable so I can just move on.
Ive had 2 chemicals the past few months so I was so relieved to see that 2-3 but deep down I knew not the get my hopes up too much

If the lines are strong I wouldn't necessarily worry as you're 6 weeks so your HCG levels would be quite high and there's only so far a test will go if ya get me. Altho the brown spotting would panic me as my miscarriages both started like that but the the nurses in the EPU said not to worry about brown blood. Can you see if you can get a scan at 7 weeks? X

Worried562 · 27/05/2023 21:45

@Daniki anyone I see testing at 6 weeks are normally getting their dye stealers or 3+ 😞

The brown spotting was a few days ago and has since stopped, if I was still spotting it would nearly make sense to me why I've went back on the digital. Did your spotting stop and start?

My partner is away this week and I don't want to go to the scan alone so I have to wait until the following week unfortunately

Oh I'm sorry 😞 it's a lot to be going through alone. Yes with both mine stopped and started both went on for around 2 weeks. With my first I had an early scan and was fine at the scan and my second had i 2 early scans and still it happened but I think it's down to my autoimmune conditon so I'm more prepared now.
It may be nothing, hope all goes well for you 💖

Worried562 · 27/05/2023 22:00

Aw I'm sorry to hear that, it must've been so hard for you especially after having the scans.
Thanks so much ❤️

I know it's easy to say but stop testing.

Depending on when the test was taken I think the lines are always going to look different. I had spotting with my twins around 7 weeks. Went for an early scan and all was fine thankfully (it'd actually when I found out I was having twins!).
I also bled bright red with my DS at 11 weeks and again no one knew why but thankfully all fine.

Imo those bloody digital tests should be banned. They're not accurate and cause people to panic.

Hope all goes well for you.
