Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Does anyone use the basic Fertility Friend - is it any good?

I don't really want to pay for VIP membership as I don't need bells and whistles.

Does it still predict when you are going to ovulate etc?

Hello willmouse

I've just started using it as my VIP membership ran out! It puts in your ov red lines when it sees a temp rise but I'm not sure if it still marks your most fertile days. It only bases that on your CM or opks though so as long as you are aware of when you're fertile you should be OK.

You can't search the charts though, and I loved that feature!

I've never searched a chart. Is it good?

I have only ever looked at the calendar I only have 3 days left now

Hi Willmouse & Jollybear! I've been able to search through charts on the regular membership ... the only search feature it won't let you use is the VIP 'find charts like mine' ... but if you stick to the first set of fields of the search it should work ok. Hope this helps!

clairlesley!! How did I miss that?! Thanks.

wilmouse I just like looking at other charts for signs of what my chart is doing. You can search for a 'slow rise' in temps or 'implantation dip' etc.

Obsessed moi?

ClairLesley - does it still predict ovulation and fertile days based on cycle length and symptoms or do you lose that feature?

Good morning ! I know it still predicts ovulation as it put the red crosshairs on my chart etc ... it doesn't state DPO on post ov figures on the actual chart (although these are easily counted and not a big loss!). Can't remember about fertile days though ... don't think the regular one highlights that but I may be wrong.

In any case (brainwave!!!) what you could do is let your subscription drop to regular ... try it out for a few days, and then if you're not happy buy the VIP package (they may have an offer on!). Don't worry about there being a lapse of a few days or even weeks, if you upgrade to VIP, it will go back and put all the bells & whistles on your earlier data.

I was a bad girl and signed up for FF before I was ready and so completely wasted my 1mth free VIP membership. So ... I've been using the regular version for 2 months & thought it was just fine. The normal upgrade price was $25 dollars for 90 days but earlier this week when I checked, it was down to $16 (40% off) so I thought I'd give it a whirl. All in all, I do like the little extras with VIP membership but could definitely live with the regular membership if there aren't any renewal offers on by the time mine expires.

Hope this helps, Willmouse. And good luck!!!
