First month using clear blue ovulation tests help

Hi everyone, I am so confused with my body right now and hoping for some success stories or just kind words..

I Used clear blue ovulation tests for the first time this month. If I ovulate it would usually be around CD18-20.

CD19 - Opened the pack and got a blank circle which is the norm I believe. This was the day they arrived!
CD20 I got my first static smiley - dtd
CD21 I had a slight temp dip - dtd
CD22 temp rose - we also dtd
CD23 now my temp has dipped again but I am a pretty lousy sleeper so I’m not sure if bbt is for me or if I’m just trying to make excuses for not ovulating🥺

I have been having ovulation pains for the last 5 days now so something must be trying to happen. Also took the soy isoflavones CD 2-6 this month.

I think I got over excited at seeing the static smiley and believing this could be our time😥 and now I’ve seen the temp soo I’m certain it’s not our month yet again. This TTC is a hard and heartbreaking journey x

Sometimes your temp can have a small dip yet you've still ovulated. Looking at that I'd say you ovulated Day 21.

@Khanny Yes you probably ovulated cd 21 which the app should confirm tomorrow.
If you usually ovulate around day 18-20 you have to start testing on day 16 at latest if you start earlier even better and continue until LH drops. Clearblue may be a bit pricey for this reason so any cheap strips do the job just fine.

Thank you, so if I ovulated day 21 that ties in with when I got the static. I thought you had to have 3 days of temp rises immediately after ov day..

Thanks, I only started testing on CD19 because that was the day they were delivered. I have enough to start earlier next cycle, though hoping I won’t need to🤞🏻🙏

It has to be higher than the 5 pre-ov days I think. I think temping has so many variables so your looking for an overall pattern. Your advised to keep DTD until ov is confirmed.

Thank you, I don’t know what it is about temping but I am just not getting it as in understanding how it works fully. Then again if my temps are quite erratic I suppose it will be more difficult to see a pattern
