Chemical pregnancy?

Just trying to work out what's going on with my body, I'm currently having the most horrendous period. We've been TTC for over a year with no luck, and this month my period arrived pretty much on time (maybe 12 hours late, but nothing significant) but it's been awful!

Yesterday I was working and couldn't get to the toilet for a few hours - I bled through a tampon, 'back up' sanitary towel, my pants and trousers. Luckily I was wearing black but it was awful, I honestly wanted to just cry. And when I went to sort myself out there were lots of large clots which isn't something I ever have usually.

This period is so much heavier that anything I've ever had before, but I don't know why? It is possible that a chemical pregnancy could have caused this? I wouldn't have expected it to be so bad seeing as my period was on time. I suppose I'm just trying to work out whether I need to discuss with a doctor or whether it's just one of those weird, female body things.

It’s definitely one of those weird female body things. I’ve had a month of this occasionally, really shockingly big clots that I questioned if there was anything left of my insides!

And then the next month would be ‘normal’. I also notice that periods were generally the same through my 20s, but in my 30s they have changed and anything goes now. Plus the addition of TTC where I am now finely tuned to anything different happening.

I personally wouldn’t worry.

Thanks for replying, and sorry you've had the same. Urgh, being a woman is just miserable some times. It also feels doubly rubbish when TTC, not only are you not pregnant you get a horrible period instead!

I've now got the trots too, to add to the list of fun things my body is doing this week, so that's great... Going to go eat crisps and watch Netflix and feel sorry for myself.
