I am on my third cycle of trying to conceive and I have been using the cheap tests. I felt ovulation pain 3 days before my ovulation day according to my app so started testing then. So far they have all been negative. I am due to ovulate tomorrow but am still having negative tests. I’m just so worried I keep missing the the window. Does anyone have any experience or tips?

Hi, I would maybe start using the strips a bit earlier. When I first started using them I would start just after my period stopped to get a baseline and then used them throughout my cycle until a few days after ovulation.
Now I've learned that I ovulate late, I don't start using them until later on in my cycle but it took me ages to learn that trend.
It may be that if you had already started feeling ovulation pain, you missed your peak and ovulated a bit earlier than the app's prediction.

Thank you. It’s just so stressful trying to get it right. The first time it just happened on the day it was meant to and we were successful. I will start trying earlier next month.

Have you thought about using the SMEP method? I sometimes find opk testing more stressful than helpful, so this month have decided to not bother and just have lots of sex all month instead 😂 aiming for every other day unless we feel we want to do it more than that haha.

I never once got a positive ovulation test, despite knowing I was ovulating. I tracked via natural cycles and recorded my basal temperature. I have a 6 month old and I'm pregnant with my 2nd currently.

@Jaded1982 It’s still only morning LH rises during the day so your evening test might be positive. Also using an app to predict ovulation isn’t reliable. Next month start testing when af finished and do the tests midday. Also I would recommend tracking bbt to confirm ovulation.
