2 week wait 2ww buddies

Hello ladies, currently 5/6 dpo and wondered if anyone wanted to join me in what always feels like the longest 2 weeks in the universe 😊

Bit of a back story, I started tracking in June last year, started trying in Sept, unfortunate cp in Sept, fell pregnant in the nov/Dec cycle however at 12 weeks found I had had a mmc at 8 weeks gestation and had natural mc a few days later while awaiting the surgery I opted for.
Started trying again last month. I'm married to a woman so we are doing artifical insemination. We had a donation on cycle day 12, 14 and 17. My LH surge is usually day 13 and has been last 2 months and every cycle since June (barring being pregnant ofc) but this cycle was day 15 which has put me right out of my usual routine. Hope my essay isn't tmi 😁

Good luck. I had ivf transfer of embryos, one good quality and one poor, last Saturday 20th.
I also had a miscarriage last year also, it is heartbreaking. Only positive is that w know we can get pregnant.
Hope this month is our month. X

Welcome to the 2ww. Bless you both, so sorry for your losses, its probably the hardest thing I've ever dealt with. have you found you need this more since your losses (I feel like I need to pregnant more so than when I was trying before)... it feels like I'm.honouring the baby I lost by carrying on or they were all in vain 💕

So when are you both going to test? I'm a bit of a pee on a stick obsessive but I refrained until yesterday, still too soon so negative and this mornings was a nope too, however I have these things called line eyes where u literally see a line that isn't there haha. Im due on on 26/27th but as I ovulated 2 days later than usual I'm gonna bump that up to 28th/29th until I class myself as late.

@DarkCrystal85 ya the testing is so hard. I find it more torture waiting to see the lines. I purposively do not have any tests in the house. Even when I got a positive test last year after our 1st round of IVF, I was obsessing over how dark it was and what could happen next!
We have had a long IVF journey. never fallen pregnant naturally. Had surgery last year to diagnose and remove endometriosis deposits.
We had embryo transfer on Sat 20th, so that would be the day of when the fertilised egg makes it down to the uterus (when conceiving naturally). So my test date is 3rd June. Seems so long away. The clinic warned me not to test early as the injections I was on can give a false positive.
Having lots of side effects of all the meds I am on, hard to know if its the meds or not. Trying very hard not to be tracking everything and obsessing.
I am trying to keep distracted as much as possible. Maybe use this time to start a new project. I have been doing jigsaws, and playing harry potter on playstation. Anything to keep my hands off my phone and Googling!

All I know, is that there is nothing more we can do this month. Fingers crossed for us all.

Hi @DarkCrystal85 , ohhh I’m the same I never believed my eyes when I saw a positive pregnancy test after first month being off the pill as we were not even trying … then once mmc happened , there is nothing I want more. So I know how it feels honey.
i am poas addict for sure so I already tested at 6dpo 🙈 I feel like there was a small indent line which makes me even more crazy now as I don’t want to let it plant a seed in my head that it could be the LINE. Going to retest tomorrow for sure 😃 how u been feeling ?

@kingster1 yes my friend had ivf and weren't to use a stick due to the 'trigger' causing false positives. I'm sure the time will go quick. Oooo Harry potter game I'm hoping to get this once it isn't quite as expensive, I'm a total potter nerd haha. Hope you keep yourself distracted. I've been doing some art and also some bits in the house and garden...

@Doodles18 yes I poas and I'm pretty sure I've been obsessing over just the indent in which the dye would be. It wasn't until day 24 last cycle I got a non squinter line (2 days before period was due) and then continued with the tests until I was about a week late, my gp laughed and said I can probably stop testing now. It is hard once you've seen that line before to not and I have a drawer full of the one step tests. I did one this morning and again my imagination is playing tricks with my line eyes. I'll keep testing daily now till im on (or not) so if I get a squinter will post on this forum.

I'm feeling OK, I have lower back pain which resembles the pain I got when I was between 5 and 6 week pregnant however I also get this with pms and I have degenerative disc disease (pregnancy was so sore even the 3 months so I know I'm going to suffer tremendously... but it's worth it) and my boobs feel very heavy (again this could be pms). My back was definitely the first thing to feel it last time.
I hope this is the month for the 3 of us and I'm glad I started this forum, ive found i dont want to include too many irl people this time round as I found it so hard having to tell more people that I had lost the baby and also feel a bit like everyone disappeared since the loss, all my close circle were also pregnant and I think they just don't know what to say but I've felt a bit lonely since, my wife understands, we lost a boy at 16 weeks gestation when she was pregnant the first time and now have a girl who is 3 who my wife carried... her 2 pregnancies were polar opposites so I'm aware we may not even have the same symptoms 2nd time round.

Baby dust to all of us. I'm cycle day the date so 23. This week is going to take forever haha

How are you guys getting on this cycle? I'm a day late but ovulated 2 days later than normal so this doesn't surprise me. I've had negatives... line eyes badly but I've been holding a pee all afternoon and will do a test shortly this evening. 3 of my friends have announced this week they are pregnant and I feel so happy for them but so utterly down about it all. I should have been 6/7 months now. Safe to say I'm having crazy mood swings. Have the usual pms twinges apart from my boobs. I'd say with my LH surge being day 15/16 I am around day 10/11past ovulation so maybe still too early... having a bad day today I think. Arg

It is bittersweet to hear pregnancy announcements. My two sisters are pregnant. I keep telling myself that when my turn comes, hopefully soon, it won't even bother me then. X

Doh, did another stick this morning after checking I wasn't on to then find 3 mins later I had come on... what a waste of a stick haha. Onto the next cycle. Gutted cos Saturdays are the only days we can't do due to donors plans and my other half being at work in the evening and day 13 always seems to be the best to do it... last 2 cycles that day has fallen on a Saturday and it has again this coning cycle. So that's me out.

Sorry to hear your news. Straight onto another cycle which will hopefully be the one. Can you speak to clinic re your anticipated day? So you can maybe manage your nerves re timing and logistics of it. Good luck x

None of it is done through the clinic but I do have a gynecology appointment they called to make on the 6th, the receptionist couldn't really tell me what it was for only that it was in the women and children's hospital so I'm not sure if it's maybe the results from the autopsy on baby I lost in feb, I will mention that my ovulation is being confusing but they will possibly put it down to body getting back on track. It may have just been an odd month as its always been day 13 I get the strong LH surge and I track with the sticks. This month was confusing as its usually faint negative and one strong positive then back to faint again whereas this seemed all over the place. I've arranged to see donor on day 12, 14 and 15 of cycle so that covers most Inc early or late ov lol
This last cycles ovulation sticks 🥴 even did a pg test to check inwasnt in fact pregnant from the cycle before haha

Well im day 8 of new cycle... however felt really off, heavy boobs and a headache very reminiscent of when I was pregnant. I started doing opk sticks yesterday and they have a really dark line, I decided to do a pg test tonight and omg there's a faint line, did it with my ovulation pee I'd been holding for 6 hours, decided it must be a dudd so did another with a pee that was quite diluted and hadn't been held and there an even fainter line, but still a line. I didnt need to squint to see the first stick, we are now thinking that my ovulation last month may have been in the low 20s, I had major pains in my right lower side yesterday and 14 days before then would have been around the time I got another surge with ovulation sticks last cycle. I'm seeing gyno tomorrow for completey unrelated reason but going to ask if it's possible for egg and sperm to meet in tube at same time as a period. I did a test 2 days ago which was negative and now positive. I'm on folic acid. I'm so confused lol

Well im just really confused, saw gyno for routine appt yesterday and they did a test on my highly diluted and very small amount of pee I managed after explaining to them what I'd had (by this point I'd had 5 faint lines) and their test was negative. I had just peed at the reception while awaiting appointment so they did tell me to keep testing. I did a test this morning which is equally as faint and as I say I had a period. I dipped a stick in water to ensure its not a dudd batch of sticks and there's no line on that. I am due to collect donation on Friday, Sunday and Monday for this cycle which the gyno says shouldn't have any adverse effects if I am pregnant as if we was straight couple we would probably be doing things anyway. I've told myself that perhaps I ovulated late, had period as normal while the whole process was happening in tube, its come to fertilisation but been unable to implant properly due to the lack of lining cos I'd just bled, maybe a chemical pregnancy or something. The sticks are definitely picking something up but with them not getting any stronger and some being squinters it's possibly more self preservation. They said its too early to have seen anything on a scan. My other fear is if something happened but remained within my tube. My ovulation sticks are still really dark. These are all the sticks but having faded and line barely visible now. The other is this mornings next is this afternoon and then again in black and white. In real life its a much more obvious line.

Ya very strange. Maybe give it a few days and do another test. Might have been a chemical like you said. Hopefully things will settle down and you will know what's happening to your body in a few days x

Thankyou and yes fingers crossed 🤞 I've been researching like crazy but I reckon if something was happening they would be getting darker by now and I'm sure the period I had was a normal period. Hoping if it was some kinda surge of hormones it maybe helps in this current cycle. Just hoping I didn't ovulate on day 8 with those darker tests haha 🥴 ttc is such fun

Is anyone who commented last month back in their 2ww or have the happy news last cycle? I'm 7dpo today after a chemical loss last cycle and hoping the myth of being more fertile to be true. Baby dust to all 🥰

Good luck on your next cycle. I had a positive test, can't quite believe it after all our rounds of ivf. Another anxious wait each week as I also had a miscarriage so hoping this little embryo is the one. X
