I mean, it looks positive. Came up straight away. I was just expecting it to be negative so when a line appeared I was really surprised. Omg!

This is the first month of 'trying' without protection. Just assumed it would takes months and months. Haven't even used ovulation tests or anything so don't even know how far along I'd be.

Is it possible to get a false positive?

Yes very positive. Congrats!

TheShellBeach · 19/05/2023 10:18

That looks positive.
When did your last period start?

sillyonehetpes · 19/05/2023 10:19

Very positive

flowerpot258 · 19/05/2023 10:20

@TheShellBeach last period started on the 16th of April. I'm not usually a regular 28th cycle so just assumed my period was due any day.

No doubt that’s positive, I think false positives are incredibly rare!

Congratulations 🥰

Ttcmumma · 19/05/2023 10:26

Definitely positive, you're 4-5 weeks pregnant going by your last period x

TheShellBeach · 19/05/2023 10:29

Hi again.
By your dates you are 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant.
You should investigate booking with your midwife. Check your health authority online to see how to do this.

flowerpot258 · 19/05/2023 10:44

@TheShellBeach - thanks. I also have an underactive thyroid so I will speak to the doctor as I think they usually increase the dose during pregnancy

@flowerpot258 congrats and definitely get onto the doc about increasing your levothyroxine dose :)

Are you aware it's best for it to be under 2.0 (so
much lower than usual range) for pregnancy as it's a miscarriage risk. Not saying this to scare you, sorry if it did. If your usual reading is higher I'd up your dose a bit and try and book in with the gp this week to discuss.

seven201 · 20/05/2023 17:34

And congratulations!

flowerpot258 · 20/05/2023 23:54

@seven201 - I'm not sure what my reading is. They've never told me but I'm on 100mcg at the moment as I'm underactive. I've got an appointment on Monday to get it checked etc. hoping it'll be okay until then
