My AF started on Sunday, accompanied by terrible cramps, which I don't usually get. Anyway, it never really 'took off' IYSWIM, just spotting, and I started medicating the cramps with the above. This morning I started to wonder if it might mean I'd had a very early miscarriage, so I did a quick MN search, turns out the above symptoms can mean quite the opposite. Just did a test and lo, a veeeery faint line. What's going on here?

I once read that even a faint line was more accurate to say you where positive than no line. I suggest trying a test 1st thing in morning as this is meant to be the time that hormones are at the highest in wee so gives a better result (hopefully congratulations are in order I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks folks, I'll try again in a few days. What exactly is a chemical pregnancy? I've seen it mentioned on MN a few times but I don't really understand what it is.

An update: went to the quack last week and he told me to wait a week and drop off a urine sample, which I did yesterday. They just phoned and it appears I'm still pregnant. Gah! Any news, neveronamonday???
