TTC & need support/advice!

Hi all,

So just some background - This is our 2nd time ttc and I could do with some support & advice as this will be our first baby. I have a 26 day cycle and I have been using opk’s, I know that i missed my ovulation last time as we dtd around 3 days before i got my peak (static smiley on clearblue) and not again after then so was out that month. However, this month (May) I got my static smiley at cycle day 12 and so believe i either ovulated late that night, day 13 or even potentially later at day 14 (I didn’t temp so can’t be 100%), myself and my partner dtd on day 12, 13 & 14! I have tested today (I believe I am 9dpo if i ovulated on cycle day 13) and used a clear blue early detection and got a bfn, am I still in with a chance though? I am having light cramping today but trying not to symptom spot as i drove myself crazy last month! I usually have really good ovulation cm and had that on day 11 & 12 so really hoping we have conceived this month but worrying we should have dtd on day 11 also just incase. ☹️
I have ordered some frer test and will be using that tomorrow morning so fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

Still in with a chance I would say! I am also around 9 dpo.. (well so I think, I don’t massively track) still very early to test! I got a BFN too!! Been having so many symptoms but I also have a UTI atm so that might be causing my cramps!

Unfortunately it was all BFN’s for us, however we are onto our 3rd cycle of trying on 1dpo so in for another 2ww! Fingers crossed it will be 3rd time lucky! 🤞🏻 x

9DPO is very early to get a positive. A lot of people will be negative at 9DPO and even a few days after, and then get their positive. Early testing at 9DPO is basically pointless! So don't count yourself out yet 😊

Unfortunately it didn’t happen for us last month again ☹️ We’re now onto month 3 of ttc and i’m 1dpo so in for the 2ww again! I won’t be testing this time until the day AF is due. I’m hoping we’ve covered ourselves even more this month (picture attached) so hopefully i’ll have a nice update of a BFP on the 14th June! 🤞🏻
I am going to keep ovulation testing though just incase I have abother peak and maybe find that i’m ovulating late but I am usually consistent with a 26 day cycle and day 11 or 12 being peak LH, however I did have all the signs of ovulation the day i got my LH peak this time and on the day of supposed ovulation (Cramps and extremely sore breats) but I did notice that I only had 1 day of noticable EWCM which was 4 days before my supposed ovulation day which concerned me a litte - Any advice on that and if it’s ok? x

What tests do you use for ovulation?

I am no expert on fertility testing tso hopefully someone comes along who is - but I would expect you probably have ovulated. However no harm in continuing to test if you want to be sure?!

I've only ever used clearblue tests which I know are expensive, my plan was to only use them for a cycle or two to confirm roughly when I ovulated, but they worked for me so didn't need to switch to a cheaper brand. Sorry i can't be more help!

I usually do use the clear blue ones, however I have used the easy@home tests this time and seem to have caught my rise and peak better by doing those twice a day ☺️
Haha thats no problem, thank you! Yeah I will keep testing until around next Wednesday or Thursday, with only having a 26 day cycle though I would be shocked if I was ovulating that late x

Hello! I'm on my first month TTC, decided not to use ovulation tests as I know I will get obsessed, I am already without even using them lol! But I'm 7 DPO and I can just tell my totm is coming. Going to order ovulation tests for next month and try more often. Fingers crossed for your BFP 🤍 xx

@Ihatewashingdishes Stay hopeful that it could still happen this month! 🤞🏻 We are onto our 4th month of ttc now, we started using opk’s from the first month and I can’t lie it was probably the worst decsion.. I also tried the proov progesterone tests and that came back that i was ovulating but not very succesfully (which just made my stress worse) 😂 We decided we werent going to use them this month and just try every 2nd day from my totm ending and I feel like I have managed to relax abit! Fingers crossed we all get those BFPs very soon! 🤞🏻 xx

@Laurens95 I met up with a friend today that's pregnant and had all the feels. I'm 10DPO and after sickening myself watching videos of people testing 10DPO I done one and got a BFN! This journey is just starting and I know it's nothing after 1 cycle and totally normal but the emotions are crazy! Xxx
