TTC #2 - anyone with me?

AF finished yesterday so this is now officially month 1 of TTC baby number #2. Our DD is just over 15 months.

It took 3 cycles to fall pregnant with DD, so have no idea how long it will take to conceive number 2. I went on contraception (pill) when DD was 6 weeks , but came off it when she was 5mo as I was getting awful side effects. Just been using the 'pull out method' and tracking my cycle to be careful since then. I stopped breastfeeding when she was 9mo due to a short hospital stay when my supply dropped considerably. I have been trying to lose the baby weight and stay healthy over the past year. So with all of that I am hoping there is nothing in our way in being able to conceive another little one!

Anyone else starting to TTC another this month? :)

Wow, we are very similar! I’ve got a 15 month old DD. Took us 3 cycles the first time around. This is also our first month trying!

rimx · 15/05/2023 16:10

Same.

It took three month for me. I have a DS who is turning 17 months on the 21st.

Brought pregnacare before conception yesterday so let see

Wishing you all baby dust xx

Hey, TTC #2
DS is also 15 months old
I'm on CD 2 today. Lucky to Concieved DS 1st time round but #2 is taking so much longer.
Been trying since January with 2 chemicals 😥
Good lucky to you all this cycle 😁

Hey!!

yes! Me! DD is turning 13 months this weekend & we decided this month we would start trying for no.2! I fell pregnant with her on 2nd cycle but think I got lucky with that as my cycles are irregular and 1st cycle trying was 79 long days!!

already driving myself crazy overthinking it all and I am only on cd12 and don’t usually ovulate to 20*🥴😅

I’m on the dreaded TWW and have soo many symptoms! I have had cramping non stop for 4 days now.. I also have a UTI atm so not sure if that’s down to that.. period is due around 26th. With my previous pregnancy with DD (now 9) I knew straight away & that’s how I’m feeling now… bfn so far but still v early days X

Welcome everyone! Have you all been taking folic acid yet or not?

I didn't start taking it until I found out I was pregnant with DD, as I was clueless and we weren't focusing on trying or anything, just left it to fate after I came off contraception. But this time around, as we are actually focusing on trying, not sure if I should start taking it now or wait?

@winterbabyrose

I took pregnacare before conception for three months and the conceived by son

I am also taking the supplements this time round too!

CTMcG · 17/05/2023 15:56

@winterbabyrose yes, I started folic acid, vit d & seven sea’s conception tablets last week. It’s advised to take folic acid for 3 months before trying. I would start taking it now :)

Aaargh! I can't decide. Would need to start today if we are going for it this month.

Husband definitely on board. I'm not not on board- I'm just struggling with getting my head around being prepared for it happening straight away but also prepared that it might take months.

I'm thinking just go for it and let fate decide?! Xx

winterbabyrose · 19/05/2023 12:42

I'm supposed to be ovulating on Sunday, but I'm pretty sure I ovulated early yesterday. So my calculations are now all ski whiff! Hope you are all doing well!

@SupernovaSky the more relaxed you are about it the better chances there are, as stress can affect it all. That's why you hear of people giving up with 'trying' and then fall pregnant not long after. Of course it's up to you, but if I was in your shoes I would relax and go with the flow and let fate decide! x
