8 DPO Bleeding

I’m 8 dpo trying to conceive #1. Today I started bleeding, initially it was brown but now it’s bright red and fairly heavy. Doesn’t feel like AF as I have painful periods and this isn’t. What could this be? I’m quite worried.

It could be either your period earlier or implantation bleeding, as that can be heavy too. If you’re worried then make an appointment with your doctor, best of luck x

Found the thread! It could be AF or it could be implantation or it could be spotting.

I spot at random points throughout my cycle but pretty much alway have some spotting 8dpo-12 dpo. It varies from very light to not quite a period but heavyish.
Various colours.

I wouldn't worry if this is the first time. I went to GP after about a year when it started to get worse. First tests were ans internal exam and swabs, then ultrasound then CT. I'm now being referred to gynea. No bloods done as yet on NHS.
If it continues over the next few months speak to the GP.

My period came today so definitely not implantation bleeding! I do have spotting on and off from about a week before AF comes, probably going to see a doctor to rule out anything but I’m expecting to be fobbed off with ‘it’s just hormones’ or similar.

@Waterdown don't let them fob you off. Unless it's like the day before AF spotting isn't generally normal. I thought my GP would fob me off to buy was excellent
