CLOMID- overweight- round one about to begin!

Hi everyone,

We are starting ttc baby no.2!
I have been prescribed Clomid 50mg to help ovulation.

I have BMI 35 so unsure it will work.

Has anyone else been on clomid and had success with it? Normal weight or overweight.

I don't know what I want from this post. Just someone to talk to about it all I guess. 🤣

Hello. I've just finished my first round. I am also a bit overweight 🙈 i didn't get pregnant but it did make me ovulate

@MK85 Thats amazing! Making you ovulate is the first goal! Fingers crossed for your second round!

What tracking methods are you using?

Was your BD timing off for conception or have you got other factors preventing pregnancy too?

@EssJayyCee I have pcos and we also have male factor issues ( poor morphology) we managed, by some miracle to get pregnant on our own in december but it ended in a loss.
The fertility clinic did encourage me to lose a few pounds but they weren't overall that concerned about my weight. They said age is more of a concern than weight. I'm 37 so I'm sure that can probably affect clomids success.

I was prescribed Clomid for baby #2 and was/am overweight.
I didn't ovulate on 50mg but did on 100mg and conceived quickly after that, good luck!!

Okay so I still have relatively favourable odds even though I'm over weight. I'll be 31 this year so although no "old" I'm not "young" either.

My partner had bad morphology and slow swimmers so we have a bit of an issue both sides as well.

They make it look so easy to get pregnant when you're at school during Sex-Ed but it's so bloody hard with all these issues!

I'm waiting for AF... currently CD61 I had a small amount of brown mixed in CM yesterday but nothing since. I thought she was on her way but now nothing...
