When should you DTD with regards to your positive LH test? Being trying to get pregnant for a few months now and usually we try to have sex as soon as I start seeing a line on the LH tests and every day until it goes, but should we also try days after ovulation as well? All getting a bit exhausting....
Don't know if its relevant but I lost my last pregnancy at 7 weeks in Jan, but periods have been normal since March

I'd be inclined to DTD every couple of days around the run up to ovulation, if you're using POAS type tests to track hormones then check out the charts relating to hormone levels in your cycle. I've attached one, but you can find them online. I'd also be inclined to DTD every couple of days afterwards too as it's not always as simple as following hormonal levels, our bodies sometimes do other things. Good luck

It's not unusual to be doing everything right and it still take a while to concieve. My first was a happy accident, my second took 7 months to concieve only to miscarry at 14 weeks in January. Been TTC since and no hope whether we do it all around ovulation or not. I think even on the best day to dtd there's still only a 30 odd percent chance of actually falling pregnant and that's without any other factors so please don't worry yourself too much. Falling pregnant isn't as easy as it's made to seem!

You sound like you're doing fine, only thing I can advise it to also dtd before you get peak LH test. For example I often get peak LH test and then within 12-24 hours my temp has confirmed I ovulated already. So it would have been best for me to have sperm waiting before I even got the lh peak, especially as sperm survives up to five days anyway and then I would continue to dtd once you get the lh peak and for a few days after. Doesn't have to be everyday if you can't manage that just cover all grounds xx

Hello, I am new here and I am trying for my first baby. This is my 2nd cycle of trying the first not being successful.
I've been taking ovulation tests and today is my peak... I am just crossing everything that we will fall pregnant this month.

It would be nice to speak to other ladies in my position :) x

If you’ve got the money I’d recommend the clearblue advanced tests. They look at another hormone as well as the LH, it learns from you every month and what levels are normal for you so that it can pick up on surges better. I fell pregnant second month using it and my friend her first month. I mean it’s not magic, but it seems to give as good a shot. We would do every other night on the run up then when we got the static smiley indicating a surge would do it once a day at least for three days.

That's the tests I have been using and like yourself we have been doing every other day and today was the first day I got a static smiley face so ramping it up today, tomorrow and the next day.

just fingers crossed we are successful this time!!
