LH tests - early (for me) ovulation

Heya - hoping for some advice from those a but more experienced than me… A bit of context: It’s my second month of LH testing alongside BBT, which I’ve been doing for a while. Have been prescribed Cyclogest because of suspected low progesterone causing a series of early losses in the last few months and figured it wouldn’t do any harm to double up on confirming when I ovulate! Had my first cycle on Cyclogest last month and while I didn’t end up pregnant, it did lengthen my luteal phase from about 8 to 14 days and stopped the three/four days of spotting I usually get before my period, so seemed to largely do what it should.

I’m now on CD12 of my next cycle and have just got the below LH test result (bottom one, other two are from the last couple of days). Does this look like ovulation might be imminent? I haven’t generally been ovulating until anywhere between CD17-26 so this would be highly unusual for me but I wonder if the progesterone from last cycle might’ve regulated my hormones and reset things a bit? Or am I overthinking it??

I would say it is.

I think even naturally it can vary. The month before I conceived I ovulated on day 15/16. The month I did conceive it was day 12/13 and I hadn't done anything different x

Yeah, mine usually varies quite a bit but has never been before CD17 since I started tracking last summer. I guess it would make sense they adding extra hormones into the mix could change things though!

Sorry to jump on the thread @elarcoiris was the progesterone prescribed by your GP?

elarcoiris · 21/05/2023 20:25

@Butterfly2000 Afraid not - they referred me to a gynaecologist but couldn’t get an appointment until August so had a phone consultation with a gynaecologist privately and he prescribed it based on my symptoms.

I thought so, thanks. I'm going to wait for my next cycle and if no joy I'll go and see someone privately x
