Spotting but no ovulation

I wonder if anyone has had any similar experiences or can hand hold?

I have been TTC for around 18 months now. I had really regular periods 29-31 day cycles.

the last few months my cycles have been longer than usual (up to 35 days) which is odd for me. However, last 2 cycles I have experience very light bleeding (no need for any sanitary products) on cd23 for 2 days and then cd17 for 4 days on next cycle (circled in red). I’ve classed these both as cycles because I haven’t actually had a “period bleed” as I would usually since my March period.

Definitely not pregnant according to home tests!

Also my lh has remained low this month so even though I started a type of bleed on cd17 I don’t believe I have ovulated!

Added pics of my 2022 cycles vs 2023 cycles…. I think 2023 hates me!

has anyone experienced a random change from “normal” to very short cycles? Or any ideas what can cause this to happen :-(

Hi,

when reading up on what vitamins to take a lot of people suggested not to take the pregnacare, people found that it messed up their cycle so badly that they went a full month with no period or their period turning up exceptionally late.

everyone is different I guess.

I started seven seas trying for a baby, extra vitamin D, iron, vitamin C & omega 3. All was fine the first cycle, then my second cycle I started randomly spotting during my TWW and I swore it was implantation bleeding and then AF was late.

ive told myself if it happens again this cycle I’m going to stop taking so many vitamins & maybe just stick to the folic acid. It seems like vitamins can mess up a cycle even though it suppose to aid fertility.

I also started Macca root for this cycle and afraid it could end up messing me up, but I have to stop taking it once you ovulate.

maybe stop with pregnacare and just take folic acid on the few next cycles if you don’t get a BFP! 💜

@Nmmck93 thank you so much for your post. It’s rubbish that you’ve had similar experiences yet comforting too.

I have previously tried maca root and it didn’t affect my cycles at the time if that helps? Hopefully it won’t affect yours either.

I think you are probably right. I am going to stop taking vitamins which I have done for quite some time now!! And see what my body can manage alone

@UserL95 yeah, this forum is great for advice and everyone passes on what they’ve learned from others.

my fertile weeks is predicted next week then my TWW - if I don’t get my BFP then I’m going to wait until AF shows up and see if the spotting and lateness continues then I’m going to stop vitamins except folic acid!

it’s just a stressful time TTC’ing isn’t it.

hoping your BFP comes soon. 💜

@Nmmck93 theres another woman I met through mumsnet who got her bfp the month that she was not taking her vitamins at all! So I guess anything is possible…
I too hope your BFP doesn’t keep you waiting much longer x
