Faint positive 13 days post trigger shot

Hi lovely ladies... yes... my turn to be one of those anxious impatient females!!

This is my first ovulation induction cycle using Letrozole and trigger shot was Ovidrel 250mcg (which i believe is 6700IU)

Had x2 mature follicles

Been feeling nausea and my boobs are painful , more so than usual when my period is expected.

Yesterday i lost the plot and tested 13 days post trigger // 11 DPO at 11.30am, tested again this morning 4.30am (now 14 days post trigger shot and 12 DPO)

Yesterday It took 10 minutes for a very faint positive to show up, not sure if that makes much difference! This morning was a little less time for it to show up, and is ever so slightly darker, but should it be getting a lot darker if HCG is meant to be doubling or is it too early for that?

Picture shows top test as yesterday and bottom as today

I know people usually say the shot is out your system by 10 days, is that for both the lower and higher dose?

I have a pregnancy blood test on Monday, 4 days away, agghhh!!

Thoughts? Could i be one of the unlucky ones where the shot is still in my system?

Blimey they're not faint 😂 with trigger shots though do you still have traces of HCG? Have you tested negative up til now and are now testing positive?

Twiggywinkle13 · 10/05/2023 23:27

Girl that’s not faint!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

TheShellBeach · 10/05/2023 23:42

I wouldn't call those faint!

SophieW87 · 11/05/2023 02:34

I forgot to put that I have NOT been testing the shot out of my system!

Haha, I didn't want to be pushing my luck!! I thought i have eye lines to begin with, but they did get a bit darker as they dried! I did not test the shot out of my system and as a general guide they can take 14 days to completely be flushed from your system, but from my googling i think the general idea is that its usually 10 days. @USaYwHatNow

I had ivf and tested the trigger shot out of my system, it was gone before 10 days. That second test looks darker than the first which means hcg is rising so I don't think it's picked up the trigger shot 😊

My trigger with ivf was negative by day 9 then a very faint positive day 10 I'd say yours is positive for pregnancy xx

UPDATE!! OK so yesterday (15 days post trigger) i tested with the same brand but instream, and the positive showed up pretty much straight away, as the pic attached! My beta is on Monday morning, 48 hours and counting haha. Thank you for everyone that has commented and brought me hope
