1 positive test, many negative!

my period is late - 28 days, usually 25. I’ve had 28 day cycles occasionally before but still no signs at the end of the day.

I did easy at home tests yesterday - all start white. clear blue this morning - stark white.

easy at home test this afternoon - seemed like I’d done it wrong as didn’t soak right up at first. a strong line showed, but no control line

Ran to shops - boots is closed so couldn’t get a frer, tried again two hours later with two clearblues and an easy at home - all stark white! The earlier test now shows two lines. I didn’t drink anything in between.

I have one clearblue left and frers arriving tomorrow. My partner gets back from work about 10 and I don’t want to tell him a maybe on the basis of a weird test. Should I try and forget the positive test and just keep testing tomorrow, or is there anything I can do to get a more definitive positive this evening? Like… not drink anything and hold on for hours??

The positive test definitely looks faulty. Sorry to be a party pooper but wanted to be honest

Not party pooping at all, I want honest opinions as it’s all still quite new to me! What makes the test look faulty, is it the top to bottom asymmetry? It did seem to ‘fill in’ oddly.

Yes, the way you said it loaded would make it more or less immediately faulty then the two lines haven't formed full and the dye has run in the middle too. Also for a test this strong I can't imagine you'd have stark white tests on the others.
I'd say for now try to forget about the faulty one (easier said than done I know!) And restest with first morning urine tomorrow and maybe the frers when you get them tomorrow. I think they sometimes recommend 3-4 hour hold with no drinking to dilute the pee if you're going to do them later in the day xx
