BBT Charting - are my post ovulation temps high enough?

I’m either 5dpo or 4dpo, and my temperature has increased daily.
But I can’t help but think if conception would be happening the temp should be minimum 37.00.

Has anyone had similar values and got a BFP?
I’m trying not to go the symptoms spotting path this cycle and just check temperature, as I’ve had all the symptoms in the world during other cycles and nothing.

This cycle I ovulated for sure as I felt the pain and had CM.

Any ideas are reaaaally appreciated 🥹

@alexalexalex18 I would say you have ovulated according to your chart but BBT rise is not a guarantee you have ovulated anyway. Your bbt can rise even if you haven't ovulated. You would need a blood test to confirm ovulation. Have they not booked you in for one to see how your responding ?
I'm on my first ovulation induction cycle with clomid . I was booked in too early for my bloods tho.
I managed to conceive at christmas but I had absolutely no symptoms so I wouldn't rely too much on symptoms, especially this early. All my friends have multiple children and none of them said they experienced nausea or tender boobs during the implantation stage. Alot of women don't experience anything and their missed period is usually the first sign.

I find myself wakening several times in the night to use the bathroom aswell and go around 5am. I take my temp at 7.30am but I still got a distinct rise. I wouldn't worry to much. I've trialed bbt at different times and durations of sleep and found that you can still see a distinctive pattern

This is my bbt graph currently

@MK85

I was given Letrozole by my gyno back home where I’m from in December, to have with me and take it if I don’t manage to conceive for a few months.

So I tried this cycle but I’m not registered yet with a GP in the UK (need to sort that out asap) so I didn’t even think of getting my progesterone tested on day 21.
Have moved to the UK almost 2 years ago and never got sick so didn’t need a doctor 😂

I’ve heard horror stories of waiting periods with doctors here so I think I’ll go private when the time comes, when I’ll get pregnant or for a scan and progrsterone levels the next Letrozole cycle (hopefully it doesn’t get to that).

Oh I see your temp dropped on 5dpo and got back up. It looks very promising!!!!

@alexalexalex18 yours should rise back up tomorrow again. The dip is only for one day , although on rare occasion, some women have a 2 day dip. Don't worry so much about if it's high enough as the temperature is different for everyone. Some people's temps are on the higher end and some the lower. Its just about finding what is normal for you. It will take a few cycles to get used to your own individual pattern.
My bbt in the past had risen, even when bloods had confirmed I had not actually released an egg but they always correlate with my positive opk. I dont rely on bbt to confirm ovulation since its not a guarantee but I do use my bbt as a guide to confirm when I may be about to or have ovulated as it definitely seems to detect a change in hormones . when my period is due my temp drops significantly lower a day or two before it arrives . ive been taking bbt at precisely the same time this month after wakening at 7.30 but I didnt have a drop before I got my positive ovulation test. Strangely , When I took it later in the morning say 11am I was getting a big drop in temp a day before my positive ovulation test, which gave me a heads up its about to happen. Thats the only one difference I've seen on my chart so far

@alexalexalex18 I’m only on cd5 so haven’t ovulated yet. I’m starting opks today and supplements.

alexalexalex18 · 09/05/2023 12:18

@emmatcc1 What supplements are you taking?
I’ve been taking Pregnacare conception for a while now and CoQ10.
Even tried Mucinex before and during ovulation to help with CM.

@MK85 That’s a good sign for ovulation

OP posts:
emmatcc1 · 09/05/2023 12:21

@alexalexalex18 I started folic acid and vitamins b1, b6 and b12.
how long have you been trying for?

alexalexalex18 · 09/05/2023 13:08

@emmatcc1 Good question, I don’t really know 😂
I think I’ve really tried and timed it correctly 2 or 3 times. Life has been a little bit hectic lately and I’ve been really stressed so my body is mostly in fight or flight mode.
Hopefully all of us here get bfps.
I thought just temping and not symptom spotting would be less stressful but I manage to surprise myself everyday 😂

Is whiteish sticky discharge a good sign? 🤔 Experiencing it now, 6dpo

alexalexalex18 · 10/05/2023 07:45

@MK85 You were right, my temp went up.
But it’s not the highest value, of that has any relevance.
Should it go up and down from now on or should it only be higher than today?

My temp dropped again.
8dpo. Could this be implantation?

I keep the thread active, no idea if anyone is still following. I’m curious how all here are doing 🍀

Don’t read in to it too much. You’ll only know when af is late.

alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 11:10

@emmatcc1 7 more days 🥹
I wish my mood would fluctuate less than my temps 😂

OP posts:
emmatcc1 · 11/05/2023 11:22

@alexalexalex18 I wish I was already in the tww but when I get there I wanna be pre ovulation again to get another chance to dtd more as I always think it wasn’t enough.

MK85 · 11/05/2023 12:10

@alexalexalex18 it can go up and go down, so long as it stays above the coverline. If it continues to go down and is below coverline then its likely AF will be imminent

alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 12:11

@emmatcc1 Hopefully we get lucky this time!

The thing I did different this cycle was taking a guaifenesin mucus cough syrup daily a few days leading up to ovulation and a few days after suspected ovulation day.
Apparently it works on cervical mucus as well and helps sper swim easier through it.

And I did see a change in discharge around that time, I always had discharge issues, not seeing much or not around the day apps told me I ovulated.

Some people say it works, some say it’s bs, but who knows, might worth trying.
I read studies about CoQ10 helping lots with quality of eggs. What I noticed is it improved my skin 😂

emmatcc1 · 11/05/2023 12:29

@alexalexalex18 I dod add supplements this cycle but the tablet with vitamins b has a horrible smell and taste it almost made me throw up. I managed today to not taste it because I covered it in butter and took it with a spoon full of yogurt. Will probably continue that as I absolutely can not take it with that taste. It’s cd 7 today and past two cycles I ovulated on day 11 so hopefully it’s a couple days later to make sure the egg is mature enough. I started opks as well and I’m not sure what to expect and how to not miss my surge.

MK85 · 11/05/2023 13:08

If you think your ovulating around day 11 from day 10 onwards I'd stay testing twice a day @emmatcc1

alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 13:31

@emmatcc1

I know exactly what you’re talking about! I threw up so many times from
vitamins, until my doctor told me to never take them on an empty stomach. You don’t have to eat a full meal, just a bite, a biscuit, a sandwich, whatever can act as a buffer for your stomach.

OP posts:
emmatcc1 · 11/05/2023 13:33

@MK85 I’m currently doing once a day with smu. Will LH gradually rise or is it a sudden rise? When looking at others tests they test multiple times a day and only one is positive so I’m hoping not to miss it. I’m thinking of starting twice on cd9 and until bbt confirms ovulation.

alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 13:34

Also @emmatcc1 how do
you know the exact day of ovulation?
Did you go for scans?

Because I really don’t fully trust these apps and temping, I have 4 apps and they all said different dates. Some women don’t see discharge during ovulation or before, that doesn’t mean they’re not ovulating. Some don’t feel any pain. So if I were you I would try expanding my “fertile window” from day 10 to maybe day 20.

OP posts:
alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 13:36

@emmatcc1 I think the best way of testing LH is with the clearblue digital one, which shows the pulsating and static smiley faces. They test anotjer hormone as well and pinpoint your surge more accurately.

OP posts:
alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 13:37

Also you ovulate a day or 2 after the positive ovulation test. I pee way to often to trust my lines.

OP posts:
emmatcc1 · 11/05/2023 13:37

@alexalexalex18 I take vitamin and then eat something.
I determine ovulation based ob bbt, cervical mucus I get so much of it on ovulation day and I check my cervix it completely closes the day after ovulation. I mastered calculating ovulation now to know exactly the day af will come and so far it was always accurate.

alexalexalex18 · 11/05/2023 13:38

Did you do any hormonal
tests or pelvis scans to find out why you would be ovulating so soon? Might be worth checking out. Hopefully it’s not the case.
I had endometriosis stage 4 and no symptoms, went unnoticed for 5-6 years 😂

OP posts:
MK85 · 11/05/2023 13:41

@emmatcc1 it depends , the surge is different for everyone. Some women get a sudden fast surge and can miss it just from testing once a day and others might get a high reading for several days. For some it's gradual and others it's sudden
