Have you ever had irregular periods before? How old are you? If you have polycystic ovaries or you’re of menopausal age; it could be that. I think certain cancers can stop your periods so if you’re too young for menopause and you don’t have any known reproductive issues, I’d see your GP urgently.

Yup happened to me last summer, ended up with a cycle of around 94 days. No rhyme or reason, no problems found. Nothing happened before that was unusual or after. Was just one of those things that 'just happens sometimes'. Been having periods for 25 years, always regular, never done this before, also not peri or anything else.

I used to get this a lot when I was younger and I still get the odd long cycle. I think I'm just fairly irregular anyway, but mine were always really off if I wasn't eating enough or eating enough fats. Back in the day I would have a missing period and I would ramp up the olive oil and butter etc and lo and behold I would get my period soon after. (Not basing this on any science though so don't quote me on it.)

Hope yours settles soon!

When I had a mega long cycle when TTC my first (it ended up being 145 days long!), I found out I had hypothyroidism, but once I started taking Levothyroxine my cycles sorted themselves out, I started ovulating regularly and 6 months later was pregnant!
