Hertility - high LH result

Hi everyone, hoping someone has experience with this and what it might mean.

I just got my Hertility results back and the LH result was in the high range at 14.00 IU/L. Everything else (AMH, FSH, etc) were normal and there are no signs of PCOS, I ovulate around day 18 with a 28-30 day cycle confirmed by OPKs and temping (haven't temped in a few months but starting again this month).

Has anyone had this result previously and had issues conceiving? I'm not sure if it's something to be worried about or if it's just a fluke. Dr google says it could indicate PCOS or being close to menopause but my other hormone levels didn't indicate this (I'm 32, not trying but not preventing, actively starting TTC next month, have fairly regular periods).

The analysis said to retest in 3 months but I'm not sure I want to spend more on another test if it isn't a big issue.

Thank you!

I've just had the same result from hertility and was hoping that there might be some info on mumsnet about this. Slightly high LH but everything else in normal range including BMI.

I'm 38 so probably closer to menopause but have a regular cycle still.

What day of your cycle did you take the test?

Mine was on day 3 of cycle and was 12.9

What was your FSH?

Shayisgreat · 03/08/2023 13:41

9.7

The ratio looks fine, I wouldn’t be too concerned if you’re having regular periods.

Have you being ttc for long? Are you tracking ovulation? Was there a particular reason you had these tests?

Hi. I don't know the answer to your question but I've just had testing from hertility and had the follow up consultation (think it was about £40?). It wasn't with a doctor but with a nurse with experience in fertility. I think a similar consultation would probably give you the answer to your question.

Hi @Shayisgreat @Thisisjustmyfaceok wondering if you can provide an update my LH on day 3 is 13. I have conceived previously but had a chemical pregnancy. How are you both getting on. I feel a bit worried and anxious. Thanks

I've stopped trying now so can't be anymore help I'm afraid.
