Ovary cyst after clomid?

So lve just finished 2nd course of 50mg clomid I originally booked in scan to check my tubes but scan showed a 4cm cyst in my ovary, Dr. can't tell me if the cyst has been there for awhile or since I started clomid because I've never had a scan before, I was in quite some pain during ovulation last month! The cyst is also on my working ovary which she said had 2 good eggs ready to be released and she wasn't sure if the cyst could block these eggs from been released as she couldn't see my fallopian tube over this cyst either :( anyway my question is has clomid caused cysts for anyone before and did you still manage to get pregnant with no issues from cyst did they clear up or did you need to get it removed?

they found a 7cm cyst on my ovary at a 6 week scan after experiencing pain and was told it's not uncommon to have cysts when taking fertility medication/supplements as they can over stimulate the ovary and cause cysts. They said it was nothing to worry about and is more common than people think but often have drained themselves by the time people have scans, it was down to 5cm by 10 weeks then under 2cm by 12 weeks

Hi @ScaredSally thanks for your reply, were you also ttc? Has it effected your fertility in anyway?

We were actually taking a break for a few months of actively trying so it was a massive surprise to find out we were pregnant... I'm currently still pregnant (third trimester) and the cyst has completely gone now
