Clearblue Ovulation Tests

Hi all. I'm new here so I don't have much idea with what I'm doing ovulation wise so any advice or guidence is appreciated!

I took my last pill on 28th March (when my last full pack ended). I had AF from 2nd-5th April.

I don't know what my natural cycles really look like as I've been on the microgynon pill the last 8 years (21 days taking the pill then a 7 day break each month where I'd have 4/5 days of bleeding like AF). I decided to get some clearblue ovulation tests as I wasn't sure if I'd ovulate on my first cycle off the pill.

I took my first test on CD8 and it came back with a blank circle which is low fertility. Then the next day I tested again and rather than move to high fertility it went straight to peak fertility on CD9, which would suggest ovulation on CD10. We DTD on CD9 & CD11.

Has anyone had this happen before with the tests missing out high fertility? I was sort of expecting to have a few days of nothing then a few days of high before peak popped up. I don't know if I should believe it 🤣
Feels like CD10 is too early to ovulate or am I just overthinking this? I wasn't sure if I should test again in a few days time to see what comes up just case it was an error and I've not really ovulated yet. Xx

When you say high fertility, is that when the clear blue shows a flashing face? I've only every had it with those with the blank circle and then the solid smiley face.

Have you thought about using the cheaper opks at all? I personally find them a little easier to understand as you can actually see your LH surge with the lines getting darker. Do you chart on any apps? If not the pre mom app has a section where you can scan the opks in and it tells you if it's low or high fertility.

It totally depends on your cycle length as to whether ovulating on CD 10 is normal but I guess you won't know the answer to that until your body regulates a little more after coming off the pill 😊

Yeah so it just went to the static face with no flashing days at all. I've not used anything like this before so not sure if I did something wrong!
I wasn't planning on using ovulation sticks long term really just for a few cycles to make sure I was ovulating each month so I guess if I want to use them longer then I'll maybe switch to the cheaper ones x
