Hi Alll

Im due my AF any day now. Actually one app saying im 4 days late but apple watch saying Im due today. It hasnt picked up if I ovulated this month or not. Can anyone understand my graph? My temp is done through wrist temp on the watch. Does anyone else have an apple watch for tracking?

I use Apple Watch, all my apps predicted my AF 28/3 and Apple Watch predicted today.. but now it’s changed to 19/4 and tried to predict ovulation.. I don’t know whether it needs a good few cycles to get it accurate? It seems all over the place. How long have you been using it?

Pollywoddles · 11/04/2023 23:28

I don’t think the Apple Watch temps are accurate enough to use for bbt.

@LolaStanley1 i have been using it since september last year. It predicted my ovulation last month but it hasnt appeared for this month yet. Strange that its changed your dates?🤔

@Pollywoddles really?? Do you use it? I thought it would have been good and fairly accurate

I don’t use it, when I was temping I used a thermometer and took my temperature orally every morning when I woke in conjunction with using OPKs to confirm ovulation.

I’ve read a few articles that say it’s not accurate enough including a statement on the Fertility Friend site that said you shouldn’t use temps from wearables on its charts. I’ll see if I can find it.

Pollywoddles · 12/04/2023 01:50

Well I remembered that incorrectly but interesting reading nonetheless https://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/How-To-Select-A-Fertility-Wearable.html

Have you set your sleep schedule to make sure it’s only taking the night temperatures into account? You should try OPKs to clear things up next cycle, I just used internet cheapies and found them good.

Hi all, I didn’t know Apple Watch has this feature. How do I set this up. I don’t currently track BBT, I’m only using OPKs for the first month. This sounds really useful

LolaStanley1 · 12/04/2023 08:50

I agree with @Pollywoddles having used it for a few months compared to now I use a BBT thermometer it doesn’t seem as accurate. I also wake frequently in the night as I’m still BF my LB. I think the change in dates is since I switched to my new thermometer it thinks I’ve had a spike.

Sorry, just highjacking on here – @Pollywoddles, which cheapies did you get? There are so many! I started with Clearblue this month but ran out before I'd ovulated, then the Boots dip ones I got (as Clearblue was out of stock) were pink dye and had very different results, so I want to keep consistent next time! (And I don't think the Clearblue was working very well because it gave me EIGHT days of 'fertility' range – flashing smiley – but the line was soo faint and then it was another two days on the Boots ones before I got a surge.)

Pollywoddles · 12/04/2023 09:57

@Williams3001 I used the One Step one from Amazon.
