I'm starting this thread since so many have been lucky after starting one and also because I'm due to ovulate in april and af is due in may and I don't know where to follow.
This is cycle 9 of trying I'm currently on cd 1 I don't do opks just check cervix position and cm.
I also started bbt last cycle and it's been very helpfull so will continue. Might try dtd a couple days in a row since I'll be ovulating during the weekend and there's more time.

I’ll join! I’m currently on cd 6. Trying to remain positive after what feels like forever trying.

emmatcc1 · 11/04/2023 15:18

which number cycle is this for you

Dreamer88 · 11/04/2023 15:21

We started around last summer thinking it would just happen. Then suddenly we were in November and started to think, why isn’t this happening? So been tracking properly since then. I thought I knew my body but I don’t think I knew anything until I started paying proper attention to my cycles.

Ive just started using Premom app too with the ovulation kits. This looks a bit more promising. You used anything like that?

DHB · 11/04/2023 15:26

I’ll join too, I’m on the APRIL thread but my period will be due in May, so like you I’m not sure which to follow but everyone seems a bit further ahead in the April thread!

I’m currently CD4, cycle 1 after a MC at 8 weeks on 5th March, so this is my first period since.

Dreamer88 · 11/04/2023 15:27

@DHB sorry to hear about your mc. I didn’t realise how common it was until recently.

DHB · 11/04/2023 15:28

Neither did I @Dreamer88 I don’t think it’s talked about much outside of places like these!

Fingers crossed for us all this month 🌸

emmatcc1 · 11/04/2023 15:30

@Dreamer88 No I haven't tried any ovulation tests. This is our 9th try but looking back I know I missed my first ovulation and we skipped november due to covid. Probably missed at least one more ovulation at the beginning so not sure if I should count this as cycle 6/7 or stay at 9. Over all these months I got to know my body much more and how it works.

OP posts:
Dreamer88 · 11/04/2023 15:31

Any tips would be much appreciated because I literally don’t know where I’m going wrong. All of these different methods and approaches to use.

Then when it is fertile week, it always seems to be the busiest time full of work/overtime/commitments! @DHB

emmatcc1 · 11/04/2023 15:39

@DHB So sorry to hear this. Hopefully next one will stick. It's so not fair how people who don't want a child get pregnant on accidents while other can't get there.
@Dreamer88 That's how I feel. I ovulate between cd10-14 so that's what I count as my fertile week. I check for open cervix those days and as soon as it closes I know I ovulated the previous day. Also starting with bbt it helped a lot to confirm it happend. Looking back at my cycle pattern I might just be ovulating on saturday/sunday next week.

Also conceiving is so hard we all know that there's a small chance every month but in detail the sperm and egg both have to be good quality that cycle and around half of fertilized eggs don't implant and some of the implanted aren't viable and het flushed out with period. So maybe we all had fertilized eggs that just didn't get to implantation.

OP posts:
Dreamer88 · 11/04/2023 16:02

@emmatcc1
eurgh that’s such a depressing thought to think that there could potentially be a fertilised egg just sat around not implanting.

If only is was as easy as making it a nice comfortable environment for them to get a move on and stick! Haha

emmatcc1 · 11/04/2023 16:17

Do you track bbt?

OP posts:
mummytoone28 · 11/04/2023 16:27

I'll join please! CD1 is due this week but period not due until may, like another poster I'm on the April group. TTC #2 and this will be our first cycle trying after a loss earlier this year

Dreamer88 · 11/04/2023 16:34

No I don’t track bbt. Is it worth it? As well as the ovulation sticks?

emmatcc1 · 11/04/2023 17:01

@mummytoone28 Hi sorry to hear about your loss. How are you tracking ovulation?

@Dreamer88 Yes! opks will tell you before you ovulate amd bbt will pinpoint your ovulation. Through bbt I found out I might have a day shorter luteal phaze than I thought. Here's how mine looked this cycle. It can also show an implantation dip, healthy progesterone increase and a sign that af is coming.

@emmatcc1 so for this cycle I'm just going to test with opks and see how we get on and if we're not having any luck that way I'll try temping but never done that before so not sure where to start with that yet!

2021lady · 12/04/2023 07:58

Hi all hope you don't mind me joining
Cd1 today. Been trying for our 2nd for 2 years now. I'm not sure it will ever happen tbh but each month I'm still hopeful

Dreamer88 · 12/04/2023 08:49

Good morning! Yeah I’m just using OPKs too. Just waiting on this to ‘dry’ and upload it onto the Premom app. See you what it says.

emmatcc1 · 12/04/2023 10:30

I know everyone say when you're ttc you feel like everyones getting pregnant but now even people I never thought would have kids are announcing pregnancies.

OP posts:
Bailem · 12/04/2023 11:30

Hi all, I'm currently CD5 this will be my first month tracking with OPKS so I'll be trying to get to grips with them. Fingers crossed for lots of positives! x

Mauhea · 12/04/2023 11:41

Hiya! Can I slip in here from the April thread? AF came unfashioanly early so I'm back to CD3 and with any luck will be testing early May.

This is cycle 5, TTC#1 at 32 with one ovary and tube. Tracking BBT, occationally look confused trying to judge the qualities of my CM and sometime give my cervix a confused prod (we are not familiar yet and definitely not talking at the moment...)

emmatcc1 · 12/04/2023 12:02

@Bailem Hi how long have you been trying and you only use opks?

@Mauhea I know right the cervix has a mind of it's own.

Hi everyone,

Jumping on this thread as I’m trying again this month.

I’m doing temping this time and I really don’t know if the apps get the ovulation day right.

I don’t understand why they’ve changed my ovulation day from day 15 Sunday to day 18 Wednesday.
I thought only after ovulation the temperature starts rising, which for me started happening on day 15 or 16 😕

I don’t even think I saw discharge on tissue on day 18 when the app changed to O day to, it was like clear stratechy smooth snot all the days before.

Instead of being day 5 or 6 DPO now it says I’m 3 DPO.
The only changes I’ve noticed are fuller boobs which normally happens for me in the luteal phase and a heightened sense of smell.

Has anyone here been pregnant before?
Does my chart seem similar to anything leading to a BFP?

I’m feeling lost, there’s never a reliable way to track this unless you have a scan each day.

Probably because your temp rise started very slow and was still as low as the start of cycle. You possibly did ovulate 3 days ago.

4dpo here and going to wait to test until 9/10 as no point earlier. Last time I was testing at 7 😂

Enjoying living in the unknown state of am I or am I not as I don't want to handle a blank test right now after our loss last month. Keep feeling some cramps and a bit of 'pulling' but can't remember if it felt the same as last time or if it's just normal cycle stuff 🤷.
