Hello,

I’m very new to all this- and as a 31y/old, I’m anxious, worried and feeling very low about my future prospects of getting pregnant.

Aged 18, I started Microgynon- mainly to support my heavy and irregular periods, but also as a means of contraception. My periods would be exceedingly heavy, prior to the pill, with large clots and flooding. This was never investigated. The pill was a ‘miracle worker’ and solved all these issues for me- until I had to suddenly stop in Feb this year, due to a migraine with aura and some arm weakness.

Im now using natural cycles to track my periods and have discussed my pre-pill cycle with the dr who has prescribed me Tranexamic acid. My first period, after my w/drawls bleed, since stopping the pill was brilliant. I ovulated, confirmed using LH strips and BBT and my period was different (heavier than a pill period and more painful, but not as heavy as pre-pill periods). My mucus was also very telling that I had ovulated.

This month was as normal, including my very ‘unstable’ follicular BBT, and my LG surge was detected on 4th April. My BBT rose for one day, but then plummeted to below my usual follicular temp. I’m assuming that, 6 days on from my LH surge, that I haven’t successfully ovulated. The only difference this time round is my insomnia. I’m sleeping from around 11-4 most nights at the moment, when I’d usually sleep 10:30-6:30. I’m taking my BBT at 4am as I’m awake for hours as soon as I awake.

Has anyone been through something similar before with a success story. My only goal in life was to have chn and I’m very quickly coming round to the fact that I might not be so lucky :( we are not yet TTC, as my contract is temp, but hoping for permanent from sept so we can try then.

Current cycle has the clock above ovulation, last cycle (with confirmed ovulation) denotes this.
