Hey, jumping across from the December thread. 10dpo and negative on FRER. I feel like I'd at least have a very faint line if it was my month especially on a FRER.😞 not feeling hopefull.

I'm 31 trying for baby #2, this is currently my 4th cycle trying after a 6 week misscariageon cycle #1. It happened first time with DS who is now 14 months and I naively expected that to happen again 🙈

Good luck to everyone and baby dust to you all!

Hankthehonk · 13/04/2023 06:11

I'm officially in the TWW, 1dpo today. We dtd three times in the window but didn't manage on ovulation day yesterday as DH wasn't feeling well.
This is the first cycle post mc (mc at 8 weeks happened 4 weeks ago, haven't had a period yet) so although I'm hopeful I'm also feeling more relaxed than usual about whether it works this cycle. I'm still just happy and relieved that my cycles have resumed and feel like it would be too good to be true to fall again straight away. Let's see if I'm still feeling relaxed in a week's time...

Did anyone you try acupuncture? I tried it after my first miscarriage and kept going til jan this year and I really believe it helped me, I fell pregnant the first cycle after my first loss and I'm wondering now if I had of went back would I be pregnant again now! My lady only works Saturdays tho and I work most wknds so it's tough to get to see her x

I did a couple of sessions @Daniki , but I honestly felt no different at all and thought it was a waste of money for me. Maybe I'm not susceptible to it? Glad to hear it works for others though! 😊 I need to find something that will work for me maybe xxx

@lottieb92 pilates does sound fun! Might give it a try 😊 I’m definitely not a fitness pro haha. Go for the odd run in the gym (which is not too fun but does make me feel good after). Taking up a new sport is probably a good idea 💭

Daniki · 13/04/2023 07:54

@Floralsandsmiles what about reflexology? Even for the relaxation benefits alone be worthwhile, a girl in work does it for me and it's amazing! Xx

Rainyday33 · 13/04/2023 10:49

I got my AF today, fingers crossed for next cycle.

buckingmad · 13/04/2023 12:37

I did pilates during my pregnancy with my first and I'm convinced it is what helped me bounce back so quickly. Your body changes so much when pregnant and all the muscles relax, it's a great way of keeping everything moving as it should.

@Floralsandsmiles oh it's great! So relaxing, it's a foot massage basically but all the different areas in your feet relate to different area of your body they can tell so much about you! Honestly try it sometime,
There is a lot of ones who specialise in fertility etc! X

Guys I caved and took a test this morning- bfn as I suspected. Looks like things are about to get expensive 💭 almost at the one year mark and really want it to happen this year 🥺

Caroline1989 · 14/04/2023 10:45

Sorry to hear that @jessie92 how many dpo are you? May still be early?

I know you said you had started your tests, will you be going back to doc?

jessie92 · 14/04/2023 11:54

Thanks @Caroline1989 . Yep am 11dpo today 💭 have a call to discuss hycosy which will probably be the next test to happen next cycle. It checks if the tubes are clear but have read ina couple of places that it can help fertility too, so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 all other tests have come back normal so far!

lottieb92 · 14/04/2023 14:27

@jessie92 interested to know how you get on because i called about hycosy yesterday after some research - but the company I called with only wanted my money if I was signed up to IUI with them or IVF of course to which they said no point 🙈
I said I’m not quite there yet, I just want to know my tubes are okay…
took all my courage to call and then felt deflated after! Maybe I’ll travel further afield to see if somewhere else will book me one!!

Caroline1989 · 14/04/2023 15:42

Sounds like you have a good plan then and glad to hear all of the other tests are normal.
Its so hard to not think there is something wrong when even if you time everything right there is only a 20/25% chance!
It really is a game of luck and I think as long as we are doing what we can and controlling what we can, It’s the best we can do.
Hang in there and try and stay as positive as you can! Sending lots of love and luck x

jessie92 · 14/04/2023 15:45

@lottieb92 that sounds really weird. probably a good idea to find another centre 💭 we had an initial consultation which was good (not sure if you’ve had one of these already) and after other tests came back normal the gist I’ve got so far is that the hycosy is the next test as they need to know if tubes are clear as one of the main factors.

they’ve not mentioned iui or ivf to us at all yet, so it sounds like that company is jumping in too soon.

will let you know how it goes!

jessie92 · 14/04/2023 15:48

Thanks @Caroline1989 definitely a game of luck! 🍀 all the best for you too xxx

Beth191 · 14/04/2023 18:36

Hi ladies, can someone who temps give me an idiots guide please? I'm so frustrated with opk's, I've not had a positive one this cycle and when I was trying for my first I almost never had a positive one, including the month I conceived! And on the cycles where I've had a positive it's gone negative again by the evening so I'm sure the reason I'm not getting positives is just timing of doing the test! So I'm pretty certain I've ovulated today (sore boobs, ewcm, bloated) but I think I'd like to try temping next cycle.

Dtd 2 days ago and last night and will tonight so hopefully I've guessed ovulation correctly...Here's to another 2ww!

Angelselevenx · 14/04/2023 19:21

@Beth191 I recently started temping (march cycle) and fell pregnant, it ended in a chemical but it really helps me to understand what's going on in my body! I use natural cycles and enjoy the app and the thermometer! X

Hankthehonk · 14/04/2023 20:56

@Beth191 I've just started temping this cycle and already finding it useful. I know for sure I ovulated 2 days ago.
You need a specific bbt thermometer - I ordered a premom one and I'm using the premom app (also tracking lh). You take your temp in your mouth as soon as you wake up, it's important to do it before you've gotten up, moved etc
Your temp will be lower between period and ovu, then will spike when you ovulate basically confirming ovulation. Then it stays up during luteal phase. With some small fluctuation.
I think it dips a couple of days before af if you're not pregnant but stays high if you are pregnant. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong on that!
Some people experience a drop in temperature the day before ovulation as well, I did, this was the same day I got my lh peak.
Hope that helps and that I've got everything right!

Freya8 · 15/04/2023 07:05

@Floralsandsmiles hey babes can i join please? Af got me yest xxxx

Caroline1989 · 15/04/2023 07:30

How you holding up @Mushroo ? I am not feeling very positive this month for some reason, not sure why. Not too long until I test though. Need to give myself a shake!! X
