Positive then negative?

Yesterday morning with FMU I had a positive Frer (pic below) came up straight away. Today FRERs were delivered this afternoon so I quickly tested and the line is really faint, almost not there. Is it looking like a chemical? I did have a lot of water today but feeling really down now as I’d hoped to see some line progression 😩

Like you said you’ve had a lot of water which will give a fainter result. It takes 48 hours for hcg to rise so you won’t see any progression every day, and it’s low levels at the start so you need to be using fmu to see progression

Thank you. I need to calm down, definitely was quite a sensible person before this TTC malarkey 😂
Thank you I’ll test again in the morning

Just to echo above.. I wouldn't expect an early line to show after lots of water and in the afternoon! Levels are so low at this stage that you need FMU and a good 48 hours. Hope all goes well!

How many DPO are you?

Update

I did two FRERs this morning with FMU. Both faint lines, darker than yesterday but not darker than the first one I got on Saturday.
I woke up and immediately felt like I was going to throw up and my boobs are so sore.
In reality I know it’s probably a chemical but have no sign of AF at all. I’m now 3 days late according to pre mom.
Not sure when I ovulated as I said this month I would take a step back and wouldn’t track anything! But my last period was 5th march, I don’t normally ovulate until at least day 22 I’m always quite late ovulating. So I’d be around 5 weeks now and would expect tests to be super dark.
Feel like I’m just in limbo at the moment would just rather know one way or the other 😩

I'm sorry you're feeling so worried.
Have you got pictures of today's tests?

TheShellBeach · 10/04/2023 16:33

And OP, when you're having a chemical pregnancy your symptoms disappear.
You say you have tender breasts and feel sick. They're both signs that there is hCG in your bloodstream.
Don't lose hope yet.

TheShellBeach · 10/04/2023 16:39

You're only four weeks though, if you ovulated on day 22. That's 8 days later than the average, so you need to recalculate.
That test looks okay to me for that stage of pregnancy.

TheShellBeach · 11/04/2023 17:53

How are you, OP? Have you tested again?

MrsSB2023 · 11/04/2023 22:16

Hey @TheShellBeach thanks so much for checking in. I’ve been working and only just seen your reply.
I haven’t tested again as I can’t cope with seeing a negative result.
I’ve done another OPK as it’s all I have in and it’s very positive, they been consistently positive for 5 days now. Clear blue is showing static smiley.
I still have sore boobs and no AF.
I think I’ll leave it a couple more days and test again when I feel strong enough.
Below is yesterdays test, I know you’re not supposed to take them out the case but the plastic was scratched, and todays OPK
