TWW - Short(ish) LP

[TTC12023]

Hi ladies! I was just wondering anyone wanted to join me in the TWW? According to my apps I was due to O tomorrow (10th, CD23) but have ended up O'ing on Thursday (06th, CD19 ) so currently 3DPO. Thankfully had been BD but it's not going to be enough we don't think as only caught -3, -2, +1. This is our third month trying so not too long but I would love some company to stop me going mad, I only have a 10-12 day LP which is stressing me out as it doesn't feel long enough but apparently it is!! . Baby dust to you all!

Thanks ladies, I'm ok, his grandad was healthy just two weeks ago so been abit of a shock to find out stage 4 cancer and then gone within 2 weeks. Can't lie it's all taken my mine off concieving this month! Once may have done it who knows. Last month I ovulated around cd13/14 and month before around cd16 so cd14 may have been a decent time. It was actually around 2am of cd14 so I don't know if it fully counts as 14 🤣

@TTC12023 are you testing and temping etc this month? Respect to you if you manage smep 😅 I may have been able to do that in my teens but not so much these days haha

@Ttcmumma temping but won't be doing OPKs it's faffy enough without it! I'm not going to lie, the thought of it makes me tired but what we're doing now isn't working! We're consistently hitting 3 out of 5 days fertile but still nothing 😒😞

@TTC12023 I think based on my blood results, I ovulated much later than I thought. I thought around CD16. My HCG levels are quite low and nurse said I could only just have been 14dpo when I had them. Meaning I probably ovulated around CD20 🤷🏼‍♀️. Day 22 bloods results said I ovulated in the last 7 days which could have been CD15-22.

You might not be ovulating when you think you are 🤪 it’s so complicated this TTC malarkey!

@BB2818 then what's the point of temping 🤣🤣🤣
I genuinely think we just need to do more BD! My temp has dropped significantly today which usually means my body's gearing up in the next 3 days for so to O which would be a miracle if that does happen, the pregnacare tablets might actually be doing some good!

@TTC12023 my temperature is often all over the place so not entirely accurate I suppose. I never got on with ovulation tests. I would often have more than one surge because they detect the hormone that prepares for ovulation. Not actual ovulation. When I had my first lot of bloods the nurse said that my body could have failed to ovulate first time resulting in a second surge 🤪

Why is it not so straightforward 🤦🏼‍♀️

@BB2818 my temp is usually pretty stable (she says having a massive jump this morning 😒😵‍💫)
I saw a similar thing happen in my chart back in Jan, my body clearly tried but failed, I guess I only know that because my chart follows a similar pattern every month!
I guess good 'ole BD more often 🤣 I know it only takes one but we're clearly missing the window!!
Planning a holiday for the end of the year but worries about booking and falling pregnant, the country we're looking at going to is safe a zika free but still!

@TTC12023 All good. Usual early pregnancy symptoms - other than sickness is significantly less previous pregnancies (atm). However, not complaining. I have never been so happy to feel so rubbish 🙈

Hey girls, sorry we've been having the worst luck recently one thing after the other and then also the opposite of my son turning 5 today. Been so distracted and tired 😅. Currently cd20 so just allowing myself to stay distracted while I can.

@BB2818 my temp hasn't risen yet, well it did today but I was out yesterday and had a few drinks so have excluded. Feels weird though as getting the right CM for DAAAYYYSSS which NEVER happens, so something good I think is happening with the vits!

@TTC12023 I had been out drinking in the middle of the TWW 😬. According to my maternal body clock… begin further fertility testing, drink and stop ovulation vitamins 🙄🙌🏻🤣

@BB2818 I just want O to happen now, it's been teasing for ages and I'm bored of BD every other day 😂
I was certain it would be overnight yesterday due to pain in the lower right but no rise this morning 🙄I'm torn between BD again tonight (although I am sure DH smells a rat, he didn't seem as 'in' to it last night 😆) and just leaving it. I've had 6 days of 'fertile' CM and BD on 4 of them - surely this is enough! Pain was still there this morning but has gone now, so maybe it's today 😳

Hi everyone, I messaged on this thread a while ago but still no luck. This cycle is really annoying me as I'm on CD18 and still had no positive OPK. The premom app says that I had a high reading yesterday but no where near as high as normal. Do you reckon this could have been the peak as its dropped off today? My temp was all over the place in the middle of this cycle too. I've given up hope this month!

@TTC12023 it only takes the once and you have managed four times before you were sussed out 🙌🏻🤣 the odds are in your favour 🤞🏼

@JourneyToNumber2 don’t give up hope. We were successful last cycle but can’t actually tell you for definite when I ovulated. My temperature was all over and don’t use ovulation tests. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

@BB2818 🤣🤣 he definitely smells a rat, we've gone from a very average (for us!) 2-3 times a week, typically similar days to every other day from CD 8 🤣
I hope O is confirmed tomorrow morning otherwise I'll have to muster the energy in the morning 😵‍💫🤣😴 I'll be FUMING if it doesn't work this month with all the pre planning with preseed 🙈🙈
How are you feeling? Are you being secret squirrel until 12 weeks?

@JourneyToNumber2 sorry I can't be much help as I don't use OPKs but your chart seems to show that your body might have tried to O but failed, hence the unusual temps? My temps went a bit haywire when I had delayed O, are you under any stress this month? I've attached my chart from Jan for you 😊

@TTC12023 I am being a secretive squirrel. Latest loss was 10-11 weeks so going to wait until after the 12 week scan to be sure. Well trying. A very close friend guessed - we work together and knows the history. Had to tell my boss as had a couple of appointments - again knows the history. In some ways work is going to become very difficult so pleased I have some support. Other than them, you guys and DH 🤫.

I have had to tell a few cover stories for various reasons. I have been very 🤢 today so not sure how much longer I can 🤐🤣

@BB2818 I've never been pregnant so not sure what is do! My friend and family member who both had losses around the 10 week mark told everyone at 6 weeks because they found it harder to say they were and then weren't! I think it's such a delicate time that it would be nice to secret squirrel but understand why they did!
Small rise this morning but not the usual jump, I don't know what's going on 🤣 I might be in for a long cycle, they tend to happen every couple months! Or I'm having a slow rise which is unusual - best BD to make sure 🤣🤣😵‍💫🙈

@BB2818 thanks, I guess we're not out until AF arrives so I'll wait and see. Going to try and not test early this month but I always cave in!

@TTC12023 you could be right, although my temp rose this morning so hoping it stays high. Oh life is a constant stress, isn't it 😂We go on holiday in a couple of weeks so hoping that helps. I keep telling myself that if this month isn't the one, at least I can have cocktails round the pool. Got to find the positives somewhere!

@TTC12023 a long cycle is a good thing, although longer to wait either way. It might mean your LP is longer 🤞🏼

Had a rubbish 🤢 day. Not kept a thing down yet. I know this is a ‘good’ thing but I am soooo hungry 🤣

@JourneyToNumber2 the best/kindest thing I did for myself was not keeping any tests in the house. Each cycle I set myself a date of when I can test from 🙈. I wouldn’t buy any until then. It was usually around CD30 as I averaged 27-32 day cycles. Saved so many pennies 🙈

@BB2818 That's my plan from now on. If I don't have any in the house I can't be tempted. It's so hard, especially working from home and they're constantly in reach!
Hope you're doing well after your BFP! Deciding whether to tell anyone is such a dilemma isn't it. We didn't on the last one but then still had to tell everyone that we had been expecting but weren't anymore. I think I've decided that if we do get pregnant again, we'll tell close friends cos having that support is so helpful. But it all comes down to what feels right.

@JourneyToNumber2 it is a difficult decision. There are more factors than previous losses to why we are being secretive. There are a few things going on in our wider family. If anything bad does happens (touch wood) I know I am not burdening them as well.

@BB2818 totally understand that, fingers crossed that everything goes well for you.
