Ovulation and TTC after miscarriage

Hello,

Another from me as I’m clinging onto any ounce of hope I can get.

I had miscarriage on 5th March and bled for around 10 days, with on and off brown spotting since. I also had some light pink watery fluid around 1-1.5 weeks ago, but that’s it.

HCG we’re still very faint positives until the last couple of days and no AF yet.

My Partner and I have been DTD since the bleeding stopped after the 10 days.

Is there any way at all that HCG would getting fainter, even if I’ve conceived in the last week? Or if I was to have conceived, would they be getting darker by now?

Thank you 💗

I'm not much help to you , I had a chemical a week before you. What I will say is, just take a step back and see out the next week or so. If tests are getting darker, you have your answer. Try not to test everyday, i really obsessed over mine. I'm 6 weeks post chemical and no sign of period or ovulation yet, your body can take time to regulate again. I was very upset yesterday as I'm not ovulating yet but you need to give yourself time for all this to settle again🩷

I've also kept a log of the days I'm dd incase you do conceive and need dates for doc. I use an app called fermometer, found it good.

Amazing thank you, I’ll download that :)

Hey @DHB this was me last month, miscarriage and then ttc right away...
I did ovulate and we dtd over that time but my period came 9dpo so even if we did conceive there wasn't enough time for proper implantation, I didn't do any early testing as didn't want to know before AF arrived, I don't think my body was ready yet, this is currently my next cycle after MC I'm in the TWW again...

I had very very faint line around 2 weeks post MC but I did ovulate around a week after that, I think it is possible to ovulate with low levels of hcg, I've taken a test since AF arrived and it's totally negative so now I know MC is totally over

Wait for AF and if nothing then test again and the hcg would be much stronger if it was a new pregnancy! You'd only be expecting tests to be lighter from now unless there was any ongoing issue but even with that you'd not be expecting a strong test unless it was a new pregnancy

The waiting absolutely sucks!

@DHB also that watery fluid could have been your period...

Are you using opk's or temperature to know when you're ovulating? My cycle was a bit messed up the month of my MC so it's really hard to know what's going on without tracking a few things

That’s really helpful to hear your story, thank you! Fingers crossed you get your BFP this time 🤞🏼💗

No, I’m not measuring anything to be honest, never have done. Me and my Partner probably DTD every day if not every other day after the initial 10 days bleeding stopped after miscarriage but the HCG are still getting lighter (barely visible now anyway) but still managing to get lighter, so not sure whether I would have ovulated :(

@DHB yeah I'd say if they're still getting lighter you're still recovering. You won't ovulate until the hcg gets low enough...

Without any other testing you'll never know if you ovulated but likely not from what you're saying, but keep dtd 😂

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a late miscarriage last year and the urge to be pregnant again is so heartbreaking every month.
I've found tracking my ovulation helps so I know what to expect and it leaves less guessing room (doesn't eliminate it though unfortunately!)
As far as I'm aware, if you were still testing positive then it would mean the hcg from your pregnancy wouldn't have left your system yet and you wouldn't ovulate while it was still there. Keep dtd as ovulation can happen pretty quickly once those hcg levels are right down.
