TTO AFTER MISCARRIAGE

Hello all,

My first post here, hooray!

I’ve been searching these posts for days so thought I would just add my own :)

I had a miscarriage on 5th March at 8 weeks pregnant. I bled for around 10 days and it died off and have had the occasional spotting on and off since then, mostly when wiping! My HCG tests have all been positive but very faint up (most recently today).

We have been TTO almost daily since I stopped the initial bleeding. But if my HCG are still picking up faint positives, then would I have ovulated?

I did have some niggling sharp cramps in my right side around a week ago. Other than that, no symptoms :(

Thank you in advance 💗💙

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage :( hope you’re doing ok!

when I had a miscarriage, the midwife told me to do another pregnancy test 6 weeks later to ensure it was negative and if not, to give them a call. If I remember rightly, after that it was a case of my periods being all over the place for quite some time. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it likely you will have ovulated if the pregnancy test is still showing positive, even faintly.

sending lots of love xxx

Thank you - That’s really helpful to know :)

I reckon it’ll be negative in the next few days as it’s barely there now, so maybe AF will come soon after and we can start a fresh next cycle xx

Hey op!

I unfortunately miscarried at 14 weeks in January. I was told to only wait 3 weeks and if still positive to go into hospital.

Weirdly I tested negative within a week of miscarrying and then ovulated about a week after that. Still haven't managed to concieve yet but my cycles are pretty much back to normal.

I think for me it may have been because baby had died at 10 weeks 6 days and I didn't miscarry until 14 weeks so it had all that time for HCG to lower without me even knowing. But please get checked if you're still getting positives as you may have retained products which can become septic. Have they scanned to check your womb is empty? The day after I miscarried my hospital checked and I had some tissue left so they gave me medicine to get the rest out and surgery was backup plan thankfully it wasn't needed.

Your body won't go back to ovulating until HCG is undetectable in urine tests as it's still kind of in 'pregnant' mode. Hope your body gets back to 'normal' sending love and baby dust xx
