Trying to conceive after Ectopic

I had a live ectopic pregnancy at 7 weeks a few weeks ago and had to have emergency surgery to remove both the pregnancy and my right fallopian tube.
I'm 2 weeks post op and doing well, physically healing well scars are ok.

How long did people wait to try again after a surgical ectopic pregnancy?
We want to try again but I'm obviously very anxious of this happening again.

We've got a 5 year old already and had a straight forward pregnancy and birth.

I'm hoping this ectopic was just one of those things.

But then on the other hand terrified of it happening again 🥴

Has anyone got any advice after am ectopic and trying to conceive again?

I had an ectopic some years back. It ruptured and I lost a few ovary and fallopian tube. I waited about 6 months before trying again but then got pregnant the first month of trying. Had an early scan to check the pregnancy was in the right place, which it was, and had a completely normal pregnancy.

I had an ectopic a few years ago resulting in the removal of my fallopian tube. We chose to wait a year to heal mentally but conceived within the first month. I had started taking folic acid as soon as we were trying just to prepare my body but there’s not really much that can change an ectopic pregnancy from happening. We had an early scan at 5/6 weeks to make sure everything was in the right place & thankfully we now have a nearly 3 year old!
