Brown discharge

Hi 🙂 I came off the pill at Christmas 2022 and this is our 3rd cycle ttc. I’ve been ovulating on day 16 and my cycles have been 24 days long, leaving me with not a long luteal phase of 8 days. This cycle I ovulated on day 14 ( been doing ovulation tests ) and since 5dpo I’ve been having brown spotting discharge, I’m now 9dpo and still brown spotting, so this had been going on for 5 days now, it’s not been enough to wear a tampon or pad, has anybody experience this before? If so what was the outcome? I have had a very stressful 3 weeks, I lost a member of my family which broke my heart 💔 could this be a factor why this is happening ? Or do I just need more time for my body to adjust after being on the pill for 18 years? I’m worried something is wrong 😪 Thank you x

I had light brown spotting from around 4 dpo that lasted about a week. Ended up getting my faint bfp on 8dpo and am now 8 weeks pregnant.
When I experienced the spotting I read very mixed thinks suggesting brown spotting can and cannot be a sign of implantation- it was about 50/50 whether people were pregnant!!

If you’ve been on the pill for 18 years it’s going to take some time to get back to a normal cycle.

There are things to take to try lengthen your luteal phase but I would give it a couple of months for your cycle to settle down as sometimes you can make your cycle go even more odd
