Can anyone tell me wht ovulation pains feel like please? I'm not sure when I'm due to ovulate as I suffered a missed m/c 3 weeks ago. I've got crampy feelings and tenderness on one side. We have been ttc so could this be a pregnancy or AF on its way - oh i'm so confused.

No idea, just wanted to bump for you.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

If you m/cd three weeks ago, then possibly you are ovulating now. Do you know the other signs of ovulation?

I've miscarried twice, and both times have ovulated two and a half weeks after the miscarriage. Sometimes it takes longer.

My ovulation pain (mittleschmerz sp?!) feels like a pulled muscle or a muscle twinge in my lower abdomen.

Look up mittelschmerz on google and there will be an explanation.

I feel it evry month since having dd1, it feels like a cramp on one side. Sorry to hear about your M/C and good luck TTC.

Thanks ladies - am pretty sure thats whats happening. The docs told me to wait for one AF but i'm just tooooo impatient. Anyone know why they tell you to wait? is it just because its easier for them to date you?

I think it depends on the treatment you had for the m/c. My doctor told me it was fine to start trying again immediately, but I had very straightforward miscarriages.

good luck

I have also had this every month since dd1. Got quite worries abou it for the first few months. Yes it feels like a stitch to me too. Also sometimes hurts to go to the loo but I have a tilted womb so perhaps this is more likely for me.

Lasts for about 6 hours or so. Can be really quite painful at times. Doc recommended taking ibruprofen if necessary.
Period always starts 2 weeks later almost to the hour from ovulation.

I had a missed m/c. went for the scan at 12 weeks but was told the baby had died 9+6. I had a medical miscarriage as they couldn't offer me a ERPC for 14 days.

that's very sad popcornprincess.

When I had a MC between my 2 dds I was told to wait 3 months by the nurses and just for my next period by the doctor.I took the doctor's advice and got pregnant again that next month. I remember someone telling me that the hormones from the previous pregnancy are still running round your body making you more fertile.

I know someone who became pregnant in the first cycle following a late miscarraige at four months. There are no problems, but she's not sure how pregnant she is.

popcornprincess · 13/02/2008 17:54

Belgo - are the professionals concerned or are they just going to scan your friend to find out how far gone she is?

she's had a few scans, she's five or six months now, and her due date has been chaged a few times!

popcornprincess · 13/02/2008 17:58

fab news that she's that far on and the pregnancy is good.
