Too scared to test!

My period was due by the 25th.
I've had all my typical symptoms in the week prior, sore boobs, mild cramping and backache. But no period.
I felt sickly and very tired yesterday at work.

We dtd quite a lot this month as a last ditch effort before I finally go to get a doctor's opinion as to why im struggling to conceive.

I'm just too scared to take a test as it always ends in disappointment and my period comes almost immediately after I take one! I feel like If I so much as mention a slightly late period to one of my friends, I get my period. Like im jinxing myself. So I feel like this post is me probably jinxing myself into a period. I don't usually believe in superstitious stuff but trying to conceive has driven me crazy 🤣 anybody else like this?

I had been ttc for 1,5 years when I finally conceived. In that particular cycle I felt strangely calm instead of the usual hurry to pee on sticks from dpo7, and simply didn’t feel the need to test until I was a good few days late.

Maybe you don’t need to test right now? Unless you’d be using alcohol or risky medications, it can be fine to let a bit of time pass and see what happens. Good luck!

You're right, I'll find out either way by just waiting a little longer.

I guess seeing a negative test makes it feel so much more disappointing than just getting your period because I just build up the hope by peeing on the stick in the first place! So I won't do it until more time has passed.

Spotting has started 🙄
