Easy at home evaps/false positives

Hi all,

I’m just wondering if anyone’s ever been in a similar situation.

I’m 10DPO at the moment, I’ve been testing on and off with easy at homes which were negatives until yesterday (9DPO) I tested yesterday morning and saw an odd line, thought not much of it but my DH could also see it. It then dried and progressed into a faint line. I then did some digging and found two from 8DPO, both dry and faint lines. I took another yesterday morning, also the same, and the lines progress from 8DPO to 9DPO.

So yesterday evening I did one that looked pretty negative, and then dried faint. My DH did one and his shows no line, we also tested some water this morning, also a BFN. I took another easy at home this morning at about 4:30 and it had the same odd line which eventually progressed to a faint line when dry. Took another at about my third morning urine, BFN that dried with a line.

I haven’t got any other tests as sensitive at home but I’ve ordered some wondflos and FRER’s. Just wondered if anyone’s experienced anything similar? I’m driving myself mad looking at them and I’ve found a few tiktoks with similar line progression which actually became BFP’s so I’m wondering if my HCG is so low it’s just showing on drying? Or I’m incredibly unlucky and I’ve got a batch of mostly faulty easy at homes.

Any advice appreciated. Symptom wise I’ve had sore nipples from about 2DPO and this morning I did have some really odd nausea.

Can definitely see lines 🥰 keep testing and fingers crossed they keep getting darker xx

ttcat37 · 27/03/2023 16:00

I have never got evaps with these or wondfos. I find the early detection wondfos the more sensitive and more sensitive than frers.

pontipinemum · 27/03/2023 16:10

I can see some really faint lines 🤗

overthinkersanonnymus · 27/03/2023 16:19

I don't want to be a Debbie downer but these are evaps from the last 3 months for me.

Not saying that yours will definitely be evaps, but these tests can kick out some stinkers so always best to do a confirmation test with a FRER xx

Swiftie12 · 27/03/2023 16:54

@overthinkersanonnymus not a Debbie downer at all! I honestly just want truthful answers from others who’ve been through similar at this point!! It’s been consuming me for days and I’m struggling to find many answers on it tbh so I appreciate your honesty. I’m keeping my fingers crossed but I’m also well aware they could be evaps or indents. I think it’ll be incredibly unlucky as I’ve got 8 of them at this point but sometimes that’s just life 😂😂

Thank you to everyone else as well!! There are unmistakably lines on them all. It’s just whether they’re evaps or not but I’ll keep testing. My wondflos are on the way as well so fingers crossed I’ll have some answers in the next few days.

Hopefully a frer will tell you either way.

Swiftie12 · 27/03/2023 17:05

@JeepersCreeperrs 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 FRER should arrive tomorrow!!

I’ve never had an evap or indent on these. It’s actually very rare to get a false positive, it’s more common that people have chemical pregnancies and assume it’s a false positive. Which is what I think may have happened with the pp as they’re quite strong positives.

the earliest you can implant is 6dpo and then it takes a few days for hcg to rise enough to cause symptoms by which time a test will also pick it up so any symptoms you had before around 8-9dpo would not be from pregnancy.

your tests are getting darker so there is definite progression there.

Swiftie12 · 28/03/2023 10:41

@Twoinapod I’m trying to stay optimistic but I took another easy at home, plus a wondfo, plus a co-op early response this morning. All negative unfortunately. 11DPO now. Kind of hoping something is stirring and I’m just testing at the wrong times etc but I’m not sure at this point. AF is due Thursday/Friday so I’m trying to just hold out and save myself any more disappointment over it.

I ended up on a deep dive last night on a subreddit that’s full of people with similar line eyes questions, lots of them ended up with positives, and a few chemicals unfortunately. I’m going to see where I get but I don’t know if it’s worth trying to get a blood test to see if it’s perhaps a chemical?

@Swiftie12 you are still very early, I did a test on 11 and again on 14dpo and mine actually got lighter. I’m now 9 weeks and saw baby on a scan. It’s really hard so early on because hcg levels are so low.. I think you’d need to have multiple blood tests to see if it’s a chemical. You can always ask your drs, mine won’t do any blood or urine tests for pregnancy. They may tell you to wait until period is due. Fingers crossed it’s sticky

Swiftie12 · 28/03/2023 11:00

@Twoinapod thank you lovely. I’ll wait and see if AF arrives. I am only 11DPO today anyway so maybe it’s possible my hcg is just taking its time. I’ve taken a look at the easy at home I did this morning (about 5am) and there is a faint line. I do also feel like there’s something really minor on my wondfo. Going to just try to be optimistic and see what the rest of the week brings me. If AF comes I might contact the doctors to see if they can check but it isn’t going to change anything for me anyway so in a way I’d rather not know.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

I think if you can try wait until you miss a period now.

I drove myself demented last time TTC, this time round I've said until after I miss a period to test. Fat chance I will!

Swiftie12 · 28/03/2023 14:59

@pontipinemum yeah I’m trying to wait now. It’s caused me too much false hope/stress this cycle so I don’t want to be stressed about it anymore. What will be will be. I have a feeling AF is going to come either Thursday or Friday. I just want to get on with it now so we can try again.

Hi, so I’ve missed my period I’ve taken a easy at home test yesterday, was negative some this morning after checking 10 mins or so after was a every faint line so don’t another when I came home from work to another faint line got a clear blue digital but came bag negative, what does everybody thing as I’m really unsure? (13 days after intercourse so really early)

pontipinemum · 23/11/2023 20:20

@mummytolr I don't to crush your hopes but if you have missed your period and a CB is coming back negative I wouldn't be holding out much hope. It sounds like it could possibly be a chemical sorry 😥hence the faint positives on the easy at home

Stardust127 · 23/11/2023 21:09

Hey!

I'm 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. My easy at home tests looked exactly like yours at 10dpo. Also, they looked negative at first then the line (very faint) appeared after about 10ish minutes. They were definitely positive as I am pregnant which has been confirmed with blood tests and a very early scan (I had cramps so went to EPU in local hospital). Asda's own brand tests are also good and seem quite sensitive, I tested early on those too.

Best of luck x
