Hello, I am 35 and started trying to concieve my second child in December 2021. After 8 cycles I was successful but then had a missed miscarriage. Since my period returned after that I have had a further 4 unsuccessful cycles. I am tracking ovulation, cm and temp and just wonder when is the time to contact the gp? I know you’re supposed to wait 6 months as I’m now in the older bracket but in total it’s been over a year now. Wwyd? Thanks

I think I would get in touch and and see if you can start the process to get some tests, this could take a few weeks and you might by that point be at the 6 months mark (though hopefully will have some good news in the mean time).

I have just conceived again at 36, we used the SMEP not sure if you have tried that but it did work for us. I had not heard about if before reading these forum's x

I would definitely contact them and get the ball rolling. I would imagine they would go off the date you first started TTC.
I'm 36 I contacted mine in early Feb (I think) which was the 8 month mark but 11 cycles. They got the blood tests done very quickly, but DH isn't having his tests until mid April and my scan isn't until September !! So I would say it is better to contact them sooner rather than later.
