Stressed - periods changed at 32

I'm stressing out about my period the past few days. And its important to note, I'm single, not having sex, but am currently dating in the hope i'll meet someone to have a family in the next few years.

Last month, I had an early period. A 24 day cycle. Seemed particularly heavy. I have never had a 24 day cycle. I have only once had a 23 day cycle about 10 years ago and then the next month it was back to normal.

Started my period at 13, now 32, I'm always regular. Varies each month in cycle length from 26-29 days but I always have a period every month.

I've felt pretty 'hormonal' this month. I had discomfort in my ovary area from around CD12 - 16. So presumed I ovulated, but now i'm not sure. I've had PMS for the past 5 days, headaches, nausea (actually sicky feeling, which I don't usually have) Feelings below of 'fullness' which makes me think 'period' but nothing.

And i'm now on CD31. So period is late for me. I'm already feeling a little pressured being single and wanting a family as it is and could do without worrying about my period.

I have had a really stressful year with the COL crisis and trying to do up my house. But no more so this past few months than previously, in fact, i've had worse in my life and my period didn't change.

Has this happened to anyone else who has gone on to conceive later in their 30s as normal?

So today i'm having some spotting, not proper flow like I usually do. Just when I wipe and some pinkness on my panty liner.

It isn't what i'm used to and so so light, so i'm not sure if I can consider it my period. Today is CD 32.

Not sure if this will happen to you, but I'm 33, Started to track periods over a year ago when I noticed they were not as regular as they used to. And realised I alternated between 32 and 26 day cycles. Drs didn't seem concerned and we're now 12 weeks pregnant. Maybe one ovary releasing eggs later or releasing hormones slower or something?! Just meant we had to track ovulation as it changed each month to get the timing right!

@Nattalot Hi, thanks for replying. That's reassuring. Have you become pregnant naturally and did it take very long ttc?

I have had the same. Even went to the GP and got referred for an ultrasound because I was convinced I had something sinister.

After about 4 weird cycles, varying in length and flow, went back to normal. I'm convinced it was to do with having covid/ covid jab.

Have you had covid recently? Or suspected you've had it?

I would try not to worry unless it lasts more than 3-4 cycles. If it does, may be worth getting some standard checks- thyroid, etc.

I was always very regular 28 days. Last year started being more like 32-37 days (I’m 31), and heavier on day 1&2. Had all the tests from GP and all fine apart from low iron which supplements have improved. I had a very stressful year last year! Now have settled at 29-32 days. Started TTC in January-let’s see!

@periodproblem It took 3 months but realistically we didn't time it correctly the first 2 months as I wasn't tracking ovulation. On a 26 day cycle they predict you ovulate like CD 13 ish but it was CD17. I was convinced there wasn't long enough to implant but here we are at 12 weeks pregnant!
