Link between ovulation pain and pregnancy?

Hey all! For the last few years I have gotten ovulation pains like clockwork every month. Not often very intense, but always noticeable. Back in August, I had a brief pregnancy that didn't stick - we dtd and the next day I got unusually strong ovulation pains, a few symptoms during the week before AF was due, and then a BFP the day AF should have arrived.

AF settled back to normal pretty much immediately afterwards, but since then, I have not had any ovulation pain at all.

This month though, we dtd (though with protection, we hadn't planned to try again until later this year!) and 4 days later I got really strong ovulation pain again for the first time since August. I'm now 5dpo, no particular symptoms but I just can't get it out of my head that the last time I had such strong pain we did conceive. But, I also can't wrap my head around the possibility of a BFP despite protection & timing. Feel like I am going crazy!

Has anyone else who gets ovulation pain found any link with a BFP, or have any other input?

I generally feel absolutely nothing however I ovulated and fell pregnant in dec ( mine didn't stick either and lost it after 2 weeks ) and that month I had strong ovulation pain . I have pcos and don't ovulate regularly tho but I did feel my ovaries kicking up a fuss that month and i did ovulate Jan aswell and didn't feel the same. Now i feeling nothing like my ovaries are dead

I'm sorry it didn't stick. It's weird isn't it, no idea why it would cause such a fuss, it is too early for implantation pain.

I know it's actually more likely to feel anything than it is to feel it, so hopefully all will be well for you.

Nope, I get it practically every month and only got pregnant twice last year.
