Hi 😊

First successful month of TTC #2, have tried since July 2022 but every month something has got in the way such as illness or the cheap ovulation tests have let me down.

Ordered the easy mom ovulation tests this month and no one was horrendously ill in our household so managed to DTD twice during the fertile window

CD12 - DTD
CD13 - Positive OPK
CD14 - DTD

Probably should of done a few more times but DP was busy.

Feeling really hopeful but also feel like I won't get pregnant any time soon 😩

How is everyone else?

Hi can I join!

I am due to take a test around the same time as you. I have told myself I will wait until one week after my missed period (8/04) but I just know that’s unlikely to happen 😛so will probably test around 2/04

similar to you- we hit the fertile window at the exact time but didn’t dtd much at all! Whoops - clashing schedules.

fingers crossed to all!

im kind of hoping for a 2023 baby but need to keep my sensible head on incase it’s not our month

pinkthree · 22/03/2023 14:26

@Catchafallingstar7 hi 🤗

I didn't even think about this being the last month for a 2023 baby 😅 fingers crossed for us. I'd love a December baby, my flo app says due date would be around mid December but DC1 was early so could end up November but think is the perfect time to have another as family always have lots of annual leave over Christmas so would be nice to have everyone around us

How many months have you been trying?

OP posts:
Catchafallingstar7 · 22/03/2023 20:18

hi @pinkthree

officially - I’ve really paid attention to fertile week recently! So I know I could be in this for the long game.

if this is “the month” Due date would be around 9th December but I need to calm down checking out dates as I just day dream all the time. Must stay calm! 😂

will be back to update either way xxx

MountainFi · 23/03/2023 10:09

Hello! Can I join too?

Think I’m 1dpo, lh tests and temps are a bit confusing this month… Ttc #2, dd1 is 2.2 and breastfeeds at night, which delayed my periods until 22 months old!

Due to me and husband being in different countries (complicated) we only managed to dtd Friday and Sunday evenings when visiting, to then ovulate on a Wednesday 🤦‍♀️ so I know I’m likely out, but waiting anyway!

Fingers crossed for everyone for a Christmas baby 🎄

Boymum111 · 23/03/2023 10:34

Hi all - looking to join! I am 1DPO but think ovulation was a little over the place as I had a chemical last month. We only DTD twice also - life is just so busy!

this is month #4 TTC baby #2.

Everything crossed for us! I am a serial early tester which only caused stress last month getting positives and then negatives so keen to not do that this month!

pinkthree · 23/03/2023 11:14

@MountainFi @Boymum111

Hi both! I think I'm 2DPO.

Sorry to hear about your chemical 😩

We only managed to DTD twice too, once the day before my positive OPK and then once the day after. It only takes one time I guess but still feel like slim chances for me.

With it being such a short window and having busy lives it really is hard to find the time 😬

I also like to test early and planning to test on 11 DPO

OP posts:
MountainFi · 23/03/2023 11:34

Sorry about your chemical @Boymum111 , it's so unfair.

Your chances sound great @pinkthree ! DTD just before and potentially day of ovulation! I'm here hoping my man has super sperm that have survived for 3/4 days 😅

Also a fan of an early test here. I will be amazed if I hold out to 10 DPO! 😂

pinkthree · 23/03/2023 17:05

I have the worst headache it's making me feel sick. I had this a few DPO when I was pregnant with DC1.. but google says to early for symptoms

OP posts:
MountainFi · 23/03/2023 17:33

Ha, a three day 'light' migraine was my first symptom with DC1 too! But it was like 7-9 DPO I think.

Definitely too early. Saying that, I feel a bit crampy. Which is clearly just progesterone or something, but you can't help but wonder 😂

I actually had the worst headache preceding ovulation this time. Which I think was probably oestrogen surging - I seem to be quite sensitive to hormones as I get a headache every month with AF, O, or both!

Boymum111 · 23/03/2023 19:45

@pinkthree @MountainFi thanks! Chemicals are tough, but hoping it doesn’t affect this cycle in anyway, other than ovulation being a little off maybe.

Maybe I should DTD tonight just to be sure ha!

I have a cold and some light cramps - but think the cramping may have been ovulation. If I can hold off even to 10 DPO to test would be a miracle!

pinkthree · 24/03/2023 12:11

@MountainFi I'm the same, so sensitive to the hormones especially since having DC1. I find my symptoms are worse now at ovulation than during my period

Headache has gone now, thank god, was awful I had to have a 6pm nap

I am trying to manifest that I am pregnant by keep telling myself this is the month 😂 I won't be having a period for 10-11 months, I won't be eating pepperoni again after my pasta bake yesterday.. etc 😂

I've officially lost the plot

How is everyone feeling?

OP posts:
MountainFi · 24/03/2023 14:42

Mainly I’m feeling impatient 😂 its only 2dpo, yet it feels like a year! Very distracted at work today.

Glad your headache is better @pinkthree , hormone headaches are the worst. I’m also finding Ov worse than period since having my first!

I’m bizarrely stressing about my lining not being thick enough for implantation (even if fertilisation happened) and how I could help it along. Had an awful night last night with toddler, spent an hour reading on the sofa, then once back in bed it seems she could barely sleep without the boob in her mouth… so then I worry about the effects of that on any possible pregnancy 😕

Boymum111 · 24/03/2023 20:40

@pinkthree and @MountainFi i also am
finding ov worse than AF, though I only realised this once I started TTC and loosely tracking everything! Crazy how the body changes after previous pregnancy.

Can’t believe it’s only 2DPO and can’t imagine waiting another week to test 😣

try not to worry @MountainFi re breast feeding, you say your DC is a toddler so very doubtful this would affect fertility now, but I know it’s hard to not think of every little thing that will help or hinder the cycle. After my chemical last month I just don’t “feel” it this month, like it’s not going to happen, I know it’s silly as it’s 2DPO but maybe just a bit downhearted from last month.

the first thing looking back from pregnancy with DC1 was going off coffee overnight, I’m hoping each morning to start feeling this again ha! I know every pregnancy is different but crazy the little things you get caught up on!

MountainFi · 25/03/2023 05:34

Ugh, I’ve had the worst headache overnight, still very much here this morning. Feels hormonal, but I’ve no idea what that could mean at 2/3 dpo? Rising estrogen? Something failing? It feels like what I get the day before AF arrives…

This cycle im taking vitex (seems to have helped not hindered me with a timely O) so maybe it’s that. And my temps are all over, but I’m using an apple watch and up regularly all night, so I don’t think they’re that useful unfortunately. Feeling very doubtful this morning.

How is everyone else?

Boymum111 · 25/03/2023 11:13

@MountainFi interesting read. Headaches, although annoying, can be a good sign for hormone change and pregnancy.

I have woken up with cystitis- great. Does anyone know if I can take over the counter remedies when TTC?

TunnocksTCake · 26/03/2023 13:31

Hi can I join? Im 4dpo finally after a bit of a whacky cycle due to illness (norovirus and then an eye infection and A&E trip on Mother's Day!) and chemical last month or both!
Cycle no.5 TTc no2 with a 2.5 year old DD. It took a while to get her so I'm trying to stay calm but hated having so many set backs this month.
Due to the sickness we only DTD on peak OPK day and day after so hopefully that's O and O-1. We shall see...

pinkthree · 26/03/2023 13:42

@Boymum111 no idea about the medication for cystitis and TTC. Can you take when pregnant? If you can I'd say safe for TTC

@TunnocksTCake TTC with a toddler is a whole different ball game 😂 we've been trying since July but this is the first month we've successfully done OPK's and DTD due to illnesses or bad nights sleep every month. Then on 1DPO, DC came down with awful illness so we were lucky with our timings this month. Just hope we've done enough

How's everyone feeling? I've not had another headache since 2DPO, just quite tired but that's normal 😂

OP posts:
slimshadyscousin · 26/03/2023 13:48

Hi all! Can I jump on? AF is due 02/04 and I am 7 or 8 DPO today, unsure exactly as I haven’t been doing OPKs, just been listening to my body as can usually tell when I’m ovulating and pretty clockwork. I did take a test this morning then got line eyes looking at it 😂 so silly. Baby dust to you all!

TunnocksTCake · 26/03/2023 16:06

@pinkthree omg I know someone is ill almost every week in our house, I keep saying I can't wait for it to be over in spring but it will probably continue! I do think having a toddler keeps you busy enough so you don't obsess so much in the tww though! I'm fine other than days I'm at work! X

Catchafallingstar7 · 26/03/2023 16:58

Hi all - I’m about 10dpo ish. My app says period due next weekend. I’ve already caved and tested but bfn obviously as bit early. Only used home cheapies.

but I’m still going to just protect my emotions and play it cool and stop my daydreaming of a Christmas time baby! (hopefully)

baby luck to all ❤️

Sleepinghippo · 26/03/2023 18:01

Me too! I'm 5DPO and have been feeling so tired the last few days but like others Google says too early for symptoms. It could be hormone levels but I could fall asleep and I never normally can during the day. Longest 5 days ever waiting until I can test.

MountainFi · 27/03/2023 05:55

@Boymum111 I hate the medication dilemma… last pregnancy I even worried about drinking certain teas!! Which I appreciate is ridiculous. But babies are precious, particularly if they’ve taken a while.

@TunnocksTCake Yes, TTC with a toddler is fun and games isn’t it! Particularly as all around me seem to have had their seconds easily around 2 years apart, we will hopefully be around 3 years. But I find there is a weird societal pressure for 2…

welcome to everyone new, fingers crossed for all of you!

5dpo, back to work, less distraction, more googling 😂😂😂

pinkthree · 27/03/2023 08:47

Had such a vivid dream last night that I took several pregnancy tests and they were all positive 😬

Only 6 DPO so really want to hold out until 11 DPO to test but I'm obsessing over it this month and just want to know either way

TTC really does drive you crazy 😂

OP posts:
TunnocksTCake · 27/03/2023 12:50

@MountainFi Yeah I know what you mean having them 2 years apart does seem the norm, I just was not ready to even think about it until my DD was a bit older and tbh having them so close together looks like hard work! At least if you've got 3 years between the older one can help a bit more too, I think my DD will be an amazing big sister now.

@pinkthree ahhh the pregnancy testing dreams have begun already! I am sleeping so badly but actually now you mention it I did have a weird vivid dream and I have loads of CM which is quite unusual. 🤔
